My Dude ver 4.beta latest has been running happily for a couple of years.

It recently started crashing randomly.

The error says something about Visual C++ Runtime.

I then restart the service and I get a screen as follows: Then Dude runs along happily for a while until it crashes again.

I'm running Win2K3AS with all the latest service packs and fixes.

So I decided to try and run in on a new machine. I quickly set up a VM - also 2K3AS, ran SP2 only, loaded Dude and restored the 18Mb backup that the previous Dude had made.

No prizes for guessing what happened.

I'm pulling my hair out of my head.

Is there anything I can do to get these crashes to stop?
