Dude on ROS - Execute script on router

Sat May 24, 2014 9:00 pm

Hello all

I have the following case and i need some help!

Facts :
I have the Dude package installed on a routerboard device.
The Dude using SNMP, monitors some other devices.

Question :
All i want to do is, execute a script on the routerboard the Dude is installed, based on the o SNMP probe.
Is there a way to accomplish this?

It would be even better if i could run the snmpwalk command from the routerboards cli.

Thanks in advance!

Yes, you can use an html file on the router, or anywhere else for that matter, to have some text. That text gets updated upon some event. You will need to script the router to read that file periodically and then execute the command. This is basically how the DynDNS script works if you would like to use it as a template to build your on project off of. If you need professional services, we can help you with this.
