monitoring CISCO CMTS

Fri Jul 04, 2014 9:47 pm

Hi, i've been using the dude for monitoring switch traffic for a while. And we also use CACTI for monitoring our HFC network and cisco CMTS, but to be honnest i really prefer the dude over cacti. i would like to use THE DUDE to monitor the cisco CMTS. i tried discovering the network of the cmts but no luck.

does anyone now how to do it?

thanks

The short answer is you have to make sure your SNMP community strings are identical. Then you will have to build you own probes for CPU and other stuff but your links should be able to be selected when you create one once SNMP is correct.
