Mikrotik 7.10.2 mpls packets loss

Thu Aug 10, 2023 10:39 am

I have router on RouterOS ver 6.* (bare metal)
Supermicro X10DRW-i
two Xeon E5-2623 2,6Ghz
dual 10Gbit network adapter
traff ~ 1500 - 2000 Mbit/s
simple queue - 700
bgp peers - 30
ospf neighbors - 20
static routes - 300
ospf routes - 160 (mpls)
all routes - 110000
All works fine on routeros version 6.*
I wanted to upgrade to version 7.10.2, but got a problem. Packet loss between this router and directly connected neighbour about 2-7% (same config, same hardware)
I tried bare-metal installation, CHR on hyperv, proxmox and esxi. Result the same, packet loss.
I tried another hardware, just intel core i7-9700, same result.
If I turn off mpls (mpls ldp disable), than all works fine without packet loss.
I also noticed such a thing, when there is no packet loss, then the unclassified process consumes 0.1 (tool profile), but when packet loss occurs, the consumption of the unclassified process rises sharply to 15-20.
Can anyone help me to resolve this issue?
Thanks a lot.

I'm interested did you reduce ospf timings in ROS v6.x to keep mpls-ldp and ospf in sync?
If so maybe ROS v7 would need a similar setting, but we are also only in the testing-phase of ROS v7 and mpls in our own network.
Will look for packetloss now during our tests - thanks for your post.
