Mangle routes from OSPF

Tue Jan 09, 2024 6:40 am

I am implementing sticky connection with guidance from this MUM presentation.

In slide 27, it says to exempt mangling LAN routes by adding an accept rule for it above all other mangle rules. The effect of this is if a connection is within LAN only, simply use the main routing table. If not, add a connection and routing mark so that traffic goes to a specified routing table/WAN.

The directly connected routes are specified in an address list.

However, my complication is that I also have OSPF routes that need to be exempted from this sticky connection logic/rules.

My question is is there a way to identify OSPF (and other routing protocol) routes? Maybe by adding those routes to a dynamic address list? Or maybe there's a mangle property that I am not aware of? A dynamic/scripted way would be ideal so I don't have to log in and edit address lists every time a route changes.
