SXT 6 constantly dropping LTE

Wed Jan 17, 2024 10:34 pm

Hello,
I bought the Mikrotik SXT 6 in hopes of getting higher 4G speed. The speed is great, when it works... My previous router (Asus 4G-AC68U) never had any problems with dropping the connection. The SXT drops internet almost every 15 minutes for a period of about 1 minute, and then it starts working again. Im running RouterOS v6.49.8. The APN settings are correct, the DNS is set, I've tried giving my computers static IPs... nothing worked. When I try to ping 1.1.1.1 sometimes it just says "timeout". The Tx/Rx Rate on the lte1 interface drops almost to 0.

Hello, welcome to the forum.

Can you export your configuration ?

In Winbox open terminal and enter export file=anynameyouwish, press enter. New .rsc file is created in Files menu. Copy that file on your PC, open it with notepad, remove any sensitive information such as serial number, publicIP if you have any etc. and post it here by using code function which is 5th icon from left to right.

Why not update to 6.49.11 or newer ros7 ? What is your signal strength ?

Hello,
Sorry for the late reply.
My signal strength is 4/5 bars on the back of the unit (Average RSRP is -77dB, SINR is 23, Average RSSI is -48).
I haven't bothered with updating yet... I'll update now.
