The unit just stopped routing traffic past to the next hop for no discernable reason.

We have done a net-install to the latest firmware, let the default script create the connection, LTE connects to the provider with no complaints, but no traffic goes past the local public ip address on the unit.

Putting the simcard into another device creates a working connection immediately, proving that the problem is not with the provider or the sim-card.

How is this possible? Surely some kind of error should be generated somewhere?

Maybe I should add this to my question: Is there a test that I can run that check that all the hardware is fully functional?

I find it hard to believe that the unit has faulty hardware when the mobile LTE provider allocates a public IP address to the connection, but the unit then cannot route an traffic via that address. That smells like a software routing issue to me, correct?

Anyone have any advice or experiences something like this before?
