SFP Module S+85DLC03D

Thu Mar 28, 2024 2:02 pm

Hello,
I'm new to the forum, loving mikrotiks (got 3 so far for a SOHO).
I find myself needing help troubleshooting
My issue:
I'm experiencing random link down/up events on the fiber root port between devices, link doesn't always recover within seconds, sometimes requires devices to be restarted
Disable/enable interface won't establish the link, on CRS310-8G+2S Tx shows sending data, Rx = 0 and on CRS312-4C+8XG both Tx = 0, Rx = 0.
On the SFP tab during a disconnect it will show up as unknown.
Log and module:

The fiber run is new, as well as CRS310-8G+2S and the modules and noticed the issue within the first 24hrs.

Setup:
CRS312-4C+8XG
CRS310-8G+2S
2x S+85DLC03D
15m 850.00 nm OM3 LC/LC fiber
Running a bridge with vlans, root bridge on CRS312-4C+8XG, root port on CRS310-8G+2S being the SFP+ connection between the devices

So far I've tried:
Disabled autonegotiation on both devices -> forced to 10G base SR LR
Change fiber patch from 10m to 15m (same type, different vendor)
Change combo3 to combo4 on CRS312-4C+8XG
Change sfp-sfpplus1 to sfp-sfpplus2 on CRS310-8G+2S
Swap S+85DLC03D modules between devices
Change rate select from high to low.

Nothing seems to fix my issue, however I'm experiencing the least frequent dropouts having forced 10g on combo4 & sfp-sfpplus2.

Updated to RouterOS v7.14.2 (from 7.14.1) on both CRS and the connection seem stable (for the past 8hrs).
Using the same hardware as in previous post and combo3(Auto Negotiation checked) to sfp-sfpplus1 (forced 10Gbase SR LR) with rate select low on both - most likely it doesn't matter the port/settings but not going to test this theory until the weekend.
Checked the release notes and it doesn't mention the devices or anything that might indicate there was an issue but hey, happy it's stable atm.

Edit: Spoke too soon:
