so, powerful web interface will be good (not current light version webbox) so, every named system could use that and mac and linux and windows too without any additional tinkering. (solaris too)

Even thus. In any case I know a lot of world that would want it runs winbox in from his PDA.
In any case even if in from web browser it becomes setup it will be supposed they are right made so that it covers completely the all possibilities and no it is you the webbox where from this in substance you do not make almost nothing.
Cool. I just can't wait to see these features in the userman. I am sure many others are just the same. Have a paypal account to accept donations for this project. I'm serious that many will do the same

just install an SSH client and your done!
I agree a good web based admin utility would be better suited than a platform specific app. Then you could develop your own web interface with the features you need that is PDA friendly very easily.

Anything to keep me from having to carry a laptop up the tower would be great, and if it's a GUI even better, it's so much easier to make changes in Winbox then in CLI.
But a Windows Mobile Winbox would be awesome, I don't care about the iPhone.
A much more useful tool for me would be a mac-telnet client for Linux. I find the terminal interface by far the fastest and most intuitive way to configure a routerboard; I don't use Windows; and winbox is hit-and-miss under Wine.
I'm selling application for windows mobile devices that shows signals on routerboards. It shows informations from rb browser interface in simple, clean table view. Refresh rate is configurable. You can find it here: http://kac-ani.xt.pl/en/node/30/.
Do not forget, "We still need a winbox version that runs on Windown Mobile or Android OS". I need to be able to access to my Mikrotik network from anywhere.

I'll have to agree. When I go on vacation I always have to make sure I have my laptop with me to tether, because without winbox I'm not sure what I'd do if I had to diagnose a problem while away from the network...

there will be webfig - web configuration utility so you can use any device that supports decent web browser.
IMHO It does not make any sense to make 100+1 application for every device that have different OS on it, as they all most probably will support web browser.

as far i know ... Java is installed everywhere... even inyour blueray player ) ... so why don't make a java based winbox(or how to say???javabox? or blueraybox??? or solarisbox????)
Alot of Mikrotik users are waiting to have a winbox application working on their mobile So i think it is time to release a version working in mobile os not matter if it built on java or any other language or even in browser the most important is to have control on our mikrotik while we are faraway from pcs laptops. Topic from 2007 until now 2010 we haven't it yet, i feel that there is no hope to do this. Please pay attention to this matter
