Clock resets on reboot

Wed Oct 17, 2012 1:20 pm

Since I bough RB1100 year ago I have to manually set date and time on every boot. Every boot it reset to 1 Jan 1970.
Is there problem with the battery from the beginning? Is it even normal ?

You have to setup an ntp client on the router.

You don't need the NTP package to use SNTP. SNTP is in the system package. You need the NTP package if you want to run an NTP server on your router.

Yeah, NTP-client seems a good option here.
