patch antenna for R11e

Sat Aug 19, 2023 5:21 am

I have trouble figure out exactly what kind of antenna port is on R11e. I am trying to find an internal patch antenna for R11e but always pick the wrong antenna port at (https://www.digikey.com/en/configurator ... a-builder/) Any idea exactly what patch antenna should I look for?

Thanks

Connectors on the card itself are u.fl for sure.
But maybe you mean the connectors on the outside of the housing of some devices, which are SMA?
There is a u.fl - SMA pigtail between them (also available separately).

I have 4 cards and all uses U.FL connectors.

Now it's for LTE. By other hand, I know that are some WiFi modules that "no one today" uses, that are bigger connectors called MMCX. If your card is for WiFi and not LTE, most probably it uses MMCX.

Regards.

Oh, I am talking about R11e wifi card. It's not ufl. The spec says mmcx. But when I go to shop for antenna. There are tons of different mmcx.

Thanks for clarification, I never worked with MMCX connectors, so, I can't help you.
