CAPsMAN (old) MAC address change

Sun Dec 10, 2023 11:47 pm

Great YT Videos, just managed to deploy the CAPsMAN on my hEX S managing
two APs (mAP lite and cAP XL ac) - thanx Normunds.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=taQ70m0DVYA

It's taking me a while to figure out a way to assign correct config
to a device with only a single band and CAPsMAN set-up with different SSID
for each band and would have been appreciated if that was covered in the tutorial.

Why don't you ask the user base, maybe here in the forum what would they like to see
and then make the videos on what demand there is for?

IPv6 could be the starter (you maybe be helping some ISP to implement it as well ;)
and when we at it, IPv6 with WG could be interesting;)
And the CLI commands could be included in "Transcript" section and videos
can concentrate on setting this up in WinBox.

Back to my question.

What I would like to do is to be able to change the MAC addresses of the AP's
managed by CAPsMAN (so they can not be identified as from mt.lv when broadcasting SSID)
but random MAC address or from set MAC address pool? Is it possible, if so how?

I am running 7.12.1 on all devices.
