RB5009 Power Issue

Fri Dec 15, 2023 3:44 pm

Hello Team,

I am facing an issue with my RB5009 and wondering if anyone else has faced anything similar.

After an upgrade or a power failure or a power loss the router fails to startup.
You have to manually remove the power and start it again and everything works fine after that.

Any ideas?

Thank you.

Is your router running a recent ROS version (7.12.1 was stable for some time, 7.13 is newly released in stable). Is routerbot also upgraded (/system/routerboard)?

Hello.
I have a similar situation; my RB5009 also restarts as if there was a power outage (the device is connected to an online UPS). Downgrading to version 7.12.1 solves the issue. I hope they fix it soon.

Me too.
Several POWER OUTAGES on log without any explanation. I have switched power supply, power it over ethernet, with no success.

Everyone reporting the issue:
have you made supout.rif right after the reboot (or use autosupout if it was generated) and made a ticket with support with supout included ?

FWIW I don't see this issue on 2 RB5009's I have.
One on 7.14rc2, the other is on 7.13.3.
