Trunking Cube Pro

Wed Feb 28, 2024 9:31 am

Dear friends,
Recently I bought a pack of Wireless Wire Cube Pro (This is a pre-configured kit of two Cube 60Pro ac devices).
Here I created a map. Two Cube 60Pro ac are connected together and on both side we have a Cisco switches.

My question is, how can I configured Mikrotiks and Ciscos to transfer VLANS from Core switch to Access switch.
There is a list for VLANS: 100 Management, 120 Phone, 140 Client, 160 Server.
Also two Cube 60Pro ac must have a IP address in VLAN 100 Management.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Use this absolutely great post and see all connections as trunk ports:

As far as I know,
when Mikrotiks are configured as PtP bridge you don't need to worry about VLANs going through. Their role is to pass all traffic and let other devices worry about VLANs and trunking.
And of course, you can set their IP addresses to VLAN 100 range.
Other story would be if you need to filter out certin VLAN (not to pass through PtP bridge).

Thanks for all reply. As you said it wors pretty well and transfer all VLANS.
But I have new issue. I test embeded bandwith test between two devices. Tested in receive, send and both mode. All of them show just 1.2 Mbps. The distance is 20 Meter.
Do you have any idea?

Hmm, strange.
Is it line of sight ? Are there any obstacles inbetween ?
There is 5GHz backup connection. Is it working ? What rates are shown there ?

Thank you Matta for your reply.
Yes, we have a line of sight. I even test it with laser measurement device to make sure its align.
There is no obstacles in between.
I even test it in a room with distance of 40 Meter, same results.
I didn't test 5Ghz yet.
