Re: Dude Client - Slow to open device settings

Hello, I have almost the same problem. I used dude version 3.6. Then I imported it in a new server with version 6.43.8. When we double click on a device, it is very slow and all the application crushes for some time. We also use other servers with same version and they work. Is seems a problem with ...

Re: Nv2 Security Profile Problem

Hello,

same problem with "long-term" release 6.42.10.
The problem is that the security-profile must be specified if it works with radius authentication even if nv2 uses its own "security".

Re: v6.42.10 [long-term] is released!

Hello,

the wireless interface does not show the security-profile option when it uses nv2 protocol.
The problem is that the security-profile must be specified if it works with radius authentication even if nv2 uses its own "security".

Re: Compatbility between AP Bridge and Station Bridge

Yes, it was my fault.
I did not think that the wireless protocol should be the cause of these type of problems.
Anyway, the AP is forced to work with nv2.
Is it a bug or its correct behavior?

Thanks

Re: Compatbility between AP Bridge and Station Bridge

Hello,

just for update, it seems a problem of nv2 since it works with nstreme.

Re: Compatbility between AP Bridge and Station Bridge

do you mean the "default forward" on the wlan1 configuration?
It is actually enable.

Thanks

Compatbility between AP Bridge and Station Bridge

Hello, I am experiencing a problem of connectivity between clients registered on the same AP. The scenario is the following: AP configured as "AP Bridge" mode The AP has a bridge with ether1 and wlan1 IP Address on bridge1 /interface wireless set [ find default-name=wlan1 ] mode=ap-bridge [...] /int...

Bridge for tagged and untagged traffic

Hello, I did not understan from the manuals if a configuration like this could create logical loops or other problems: /interface bridge add name=bridge1-untagged add name=bridge2-Vlan2 add name=bridge3-Vlan3 /interface vlan add interface=ether1 name=vlan-2a vlan-id=2 add interface=ether2 name=vlan-...

Re: Transmit loop detected

Hello, are there any news, on RouterOS higher than 6.37, about this problem? This is part of the changelog for version 6.39. Should this have impact on the issue? What's new in 6.39 (2017-Apr-27 10:06): *) tunnels - fixed reboot loop on configurations with IPIP and EoIP tunnels (introduced in 6.39rc...

Re: Sector performances

Yes, you can. tdma-period-size - specifies size in ms of time periods that Nv2 AP uses for media access scheduling. Smaller period can potentially decrease latency (because AP can assign time for client sooner), but will increase protocol overhead and therefore decrease throughput. On the other han...

Re: Sector performances

Hello,

thank you for the answer.

By setting the TDMA period size of the NV2, are the time slots allocated for each clients the same, regardless the modulation?

Sector performances

Hello,

I have a theoretical question to ask you:
in a situation where I have different clients at maximum modulation, if I add one client at a lower modulation, the entire sector decreases its performances.
Is it right?
If it is so, why it happens?

Thank you

Re: Transmit loop detected

Hi, are there updates about this issue? I have this problem for a long time now and i use differente routerOS versions. Sometimes there is the log "eoip-tunnel1 transmit loop detected, downing interface for 60 seconds" but the interface does not return up. Is there a way to resolve this problem with...

Re: Wireless Signal Problem

Hi, actually i don't know, should be something related to the temperature? Is this happening every night? Do you use the 20MHz channel? Antenna aim is good with an rssi of -53 during the day; it seems to be something right in the fresnel zone, or some radio, very near to yours, that work only at nig...

Re: Loss packet on station wds

No, there are different stations in "station mode" and only one wds (station-wds).
Maybe I understood, did you mean that the radio switches between AP mode and Bridge mode (for the wds station)?

Thanks

Re: Loss packet on station wds

It is related to physics limitations, a single radio has to switch back and forth between AP mode and station mode when WDS requires it, saturation makes it more obvious. Solution: use a double radio unit, and use the second unused interface to build PTP or PtMP connections between the devices. Tha...

Loss packet on station wds

Hi all, I have an AP configured as "ap bridge"; on this i have some stations registered and a static wds (i have the same problem with dynamic wds). The Ap is using nv2 protocol and accepts dynamic wds. The wds interface is part of a bridge while the wlan1 is in another bridge. The problem is that, ...
