Re: Question about Hotspot configuration

Or, if I should use a script, is it possible to get first connection date and time for a user? The script worries me because it should check all users at each run I think, and there are 3000 premade users on the routerboard. I don't know if it'd be heavy on the cpu. The routerboard is an RB1100AHx4.

Re: Question about Hotspot configuration

Yes it is possible.
Use Mikrotik User manager and set the validity of the user's profile to 2 days...
If you dont want to use the User manager, you can do it with a script...
Thanks. I installed it but never used it before. Is it only accessible with a browser?

Question about Hotspot configuration

Hello guys, I need to configure a Hotspot like this: the user has a limited time of 2 days since the first login with his Hotspot credentials. When the 2 days have passed, he can't use the Hotspot anymore. Problem is, I need the 2 days to be counted since his first connection. So, if he connects on ...

Re: Problem with vlan subnet and lan subnet not communicating [SOLVED]

Jesus, you are right. It's actually W10 PCs, had no idea the default firewall would block pings from other local subnets! Is it my impression or has it gotten more "picky" lately? I have a reason to be sad - I was stupid not to think about this - and two reasons to be happy - I got the con...

Problem with vlan subnet and lan subnet not communicating [SOLVED]

Hello, so I need to setup something like this: I have 2 RBs (6.44.6), one is controlling the whole network (M1), the other one (M2) should just work as a switch (of sorts) for a vlan inside the network. The main network is 172.16.2.0/24, the vlan is 192.168.10.0/24. There's a dhcp server on each net...

Hello, are there any news on this? I can't wait for this service to come alive.

Re: IP Tunnel question

I made it work, took some manual routes and so on. It's slow as hell though.

Re: IP Tunnel question

Yeah, it's actually more complex than I thought. I forgot to mention that there are actually 2 Wans in each site. I've not been able to achieve anything for the moment.

Re: IP Tunnel question

Thanks guys. That's interesting, docmarius. I'll try that out and report back. Don't think I'll have time to tackle this before the weekend though, it's low priority.

IP Tunnel question

Hello everybody, I've been meddling with Mikrotik routers for about a year now and I love them deeply. I have a question about a setup I need to... set up. I have two Mikrotik routers in two geographically separated networks. I created an IP tunnel between them with help from a colleague a while ago...
