Re: Control kids iPad usage time

Why not to use built-in ios screen time? https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT208982?
yes, the screen time technically works, but my wife always extends time for my daughter, and my girl now can figure out the password.

Re: Control kids iPad usage time

IP>Kid Control Maybe it won't limit to 30 mins per day but it's a start to minimise watch time. This kid control feature does not always work, instead, I can add filter rules and simple queues manually. The problem is the filter rules and queues only limit access based on time, but the time period....

Control kids iPad usage time

I have a 2.5 years old daughter and she is obsessed in iPad's online cartoon app. I promise her to allow her watching iPad for 30min/day. My wife always extends my daughter's iPad time once my little girl begs. So I need to implement this idea in mikrotik. My idea is to set dhcp lease time to 1 min ...

Re: cAP ac config problems

i think you better let capsman manage all your interfacs, push unified configuration and select channels for the first time then fine tune with some wifi surveys software.

make it work first, then setup vlans.

Your approach as for now, is not easy to debug

Re: WAP ac 5GHz issues with iPhone XS

in my case. I have both iPhone x and iphone xs max, and MacBookpro 2013 late, recently i notice they can't connect to one of the wap acs, which happens to be set to 5805mhz eeec automatically by capsman, country is set to my location and same as the iPhone and Mac, 5805mhz eeec just doesn't work. Re: wAP ac is slow with manager forwarding and high CPU

With Local forwarding and Fastpath active on bridge?
Only Hardware queue on WiFi Interfaces?
localforwarding will increase 2M/s, with fast forward on, i give up, it should be the limit of wap ac.

and actually i mean 42MB/s, 330Mbps :)

~200Mbit/s on CAPSMAN forwarding enabled wAP ac with my old Sony Compact 802.11n smartphone connecting with 300Mbit/s. Re: CRS317-1G-16S+RM as a "Core" switch

Thats weird, because I have tested it on 8 different crs326 all running beta20 and it works perfect, traffic shaping also does work, however the rate settings are still weird. and a crs326 if I want to set a user to 250/250M speed, I have to set ingress rate at 400M and Egress Rate at 250M On a CRS...

then You should expect slow speed from 10G to 1G port on the same switch, like 300mbps Still with newest beta? I see higher numbers. I tested my crs326 with s+rj10 with every beta, no improvement and that "fix" - *) crs3xx - improved data transmission between 10G and 1G ports; is due to my 1 month ...

I get around 960mbit up and Down from the crs326 with 6.44beta20 so no speed issues anymore
crs326 too with s+rj10, without any visual improvement, i tested on every beta, now it's 6.44beta40, do you reset the switch or do something particular?

Re: wAP ac is slow with manager forwarding and high CPU

Do you need to run the traffic locally through manager? The traffic is being tunneled back to the manager hence where the CPU usage is coming from, without tunneling you should get full speed. Thank you for the info, but I tried local forwarding, the speed improves 2M/s, wifi and networking still e...

wAP ac is slow with manager forwarding and high CPU

Problem description: wAP ac's 5G chip is QCA9880, which is suppose to deliver 70-80M/s data transfer speed with 2 chains(866M) but with capsman's manager forwarding, wAP ac uses up CPU to deliver 42MB/s(330Mbps) to only 1 client. It's weird. The processing should be on capsman, there is no filter ru...

even my old 2011 can easily reach 500mbps without any filter, nor complex nat rule and if your sfp+ is an 10G port, you may hit the mikrotik 10G->1G port buffer bloat issue you mentioned you have disabled the entire filter stack, just some FYI mikrotik's official brutal force login prevention wiki s...

Your iphone is produced in China too, because China has way better factories, processes, skillful workers then any other places. You don't like it? Hi, I have 2 RBwAPG-5HacT2HnDs to setup a home wifi, and I'm trying to test these APs with RouterOS in Exsi before wiring them to real RB2011. but these 2 APs can't be connected to the RouterOS router at the same time, if only one AP is connected, every thing is good.
