Re: HWMPplus wired interfaces, still supported?

*bump* Can anyone at least confirm that they have HWMPplus in production and/or at least functional somewhere? I just deployed a WDS without it; I'd really like to have better redundancy and link utilization but don't really have the time to focus on "science-ing" if it's a long bumpy road to nowher...

HWMPplus wired interfaces, still supported?

Hello! I'm working on my first fully dynamic WDS deployment. I wanted to get a wired-mesh working as a demonstration prior to moving to wds w/ hwmpplus, under the theory that "if i can't get it to work over a wire then it's not going to work over wireless and it'll be twice as complicated to trouble...

HWMPplus & VLANs

Hello!

I need VLANs along with HWMPplus.
Do VLANs ride inside HWMPplus frames, or does HWMPplus ride inside 802.1q frames?

Thanks!

Re: Newsletter 97 (September 2020)

Really exciting things! I can't use SwitchOS in the real world; I can't get away with http-without-the-s and the single shared admin account in the places I support, so I can't wait for a C R S610-8G-2S+IN version. For bonus points, C R S610-8 P -2S+IN! Heck, I'll buy one of the CRS POE versions jus...

US UNII-2 support reference

Hello Mikrotik! It would be helpful to have a maintained manual page or a sticky here in the forum tracking devices for which UNII-2 support has been enabled in the US, along with the minimum RouterOS versions required for that support per-device. I know that you all have had several devices certifi...

Re: v6.47.2 [stable] is released!

You are also in the 5 GHz world. There are some pitfalls, like the mandatory 1 minute or even 10 minutes radar test period for DFS frequencies. 5 GHz will be totally dead for that time, with interface enabled.. This is not Mikrotik specific, but a mandatory requirement for all wifi equipment sold. ...

Re: MikroTik newsletter May 2020 (#95)

We are actively working on other UNII certifications, including for Audience. Other already certified products are listed in the newsletter. Thanks Normis! I appreciate your response and I know you are! I just wanted to add public feedback in support of it! "Squeaky-wheels get the grease" and all...

Re: MikroTik newsletter May 2020 (#95)

Any plans/timetable for UNII-2 support in the US on RBwAPG-5HacT2HnD? I just switched all APs to these and was disappointed they were not on the list of supported products listed in the newsletter. I too am super-interested in UNII-2 support in the US, especially for the Audience/RBD25G-5HPacQD2HPn...

TLS 1.2 & Removal of TLS 1.0 - WPA2-EAP

Hi! I know that there's been some progress with certain other components of RouterOS as far as supporting TLS 1.2 and giving the ability to disable older protocols but I found a component that it's not yet done with and it's preventing the close-out of security/compliance issues. Specifically, the W...

Update on CRS354 Switches? (moved post)

Hi! I can't tell you how much we're looking forward to the CRS354 switches, but it's a lot! They were announced April 2018, and I think I've found several places that the target was Spring 2019. I/we want to throw money at these! Please let us! Seriously, though, is there anything Mikrotik can shar...

The mode button really has the potential to simplify transitions from one network to another for these.

mAP AC in the near future?

Hello! Any plans for a mAP AC in the future, ideally with hardware crypto? Alternatively, or in addition, an LtAP mini AC LTE It seems like a lot in a tiny package, and it is, but it's pretty much my dream travel/hotel firewall, wifi relay, and low-end VPN device. It doesn't need to be amazing and f...

10G BiDi Transceiver set (S+2332LC10D) minimum distance

Hello! Regarding the S+2332LC10D BiDi 10G transceiver set, I can see from the specifications that the maximum run length is 10km. My question is regarding minimum run length; what is the minimum distance / run length that would be safe and supported using a set of these without an attenuator? Thanks...

mAP RBmAP2nD wifi performance

Hello, I'm wondering what speeds people with their hands on mAP RBmAP2nD devices are seeing, and also if there are any known issues which might cause poor performance. I see wired performance numbers listed on the product page under the "Test results column", and I am indeed seeing expected switchin...
