Re: RB411UAHR with Sierra Wireless MC7710

Thanks for your input, sadly it is not the CPU useage. I wonder:
does your setup connect to LTE by itself, or did you set LTE in the interface?

Kind regards,
Daniel

Re: RB411UAHR with Sierra Wireless MC7710

Thats quite a bit more. Which firmware version do you run on the module?

With my 9dbi antenna I have roughly -58db and sometimes even better, so I assume reception is not the problem.

Do you use the auxiliary antenna?

PS: added a screenshot of the lte interface status.

Re: LTE MC7710

well, sadly there is no way to get the firmware directly from Sierra Wireless without having a contract with them.
So the only chance you have is asking the people you bought the modules from, to look into getting you a more recent firmware.

RB411UAHR with Sierra Wireless MC7710

Hi guys, while the module is now officially supported, I wonder what speeds you are able to achieve. I got the Huawai B593 here as well and I can achieve up to 60 mbit with that unit. The Routerboard setup is able to deliver maybe up to 20 mbit, but I never saw anything above that. So how are you gu...

Re: RB2011 UAS-IN and LTE adapter

one obvious question: the USB stick powers up? So you can see lights going on onto it?

Maybe there is not enough power to make it work correctly.

Re: Qualcom Gobi Support

well, I am also interested into this. If you read through the forum, you would also know that other modems work as well,
like the Sierra Wireless MC7710 for example. So you can have LTE, but there are also downsides and QMI support is certainly one thing that should be available soonish ;)

Re: Getting data connection working

A bit late, but late is better than never I guess ;)

You can see the AT commands sent to the modem by going into System -> Logging.
There press the + symbol, select Topic: async and press ok. Now open the log and you should see a bit more about what is going on.

Re: LTE MC7710

There is obviously more than one thing going on. Judging by recent developments in the linux kernel, the MC7710 supports different interface communication types. The old was QMI and the new one is called MBIM. We got many MC7710 working great in our Routerboards 411UAHR, but the recent batch of MC77...

Re: mark connection on p2p all is broken in RC7?

So actually I have made a work around now, by just marking all the packets from the server and putting them into the users_p2p queue,
that still works, as the screenshot shows.

Re: mark connection on p2p all is broken in RC7?

If I change the IP->Firewall rule to mark not by traffic type, but IP address it works again. So generally the marking seems okay, just the P2P filter is obviously broken at least for bitorrent.

mark connection on p2p all is broken in RC7?

Hello there,

maybe somebody can help with this: marking connection with p2p-all has worked very well with RouterOS 5.
When I updated to RouterOS 6 this stopped working on my RB493G.

So I wonder: is this a know bug?

I have tested with bittorrent btw.

Thanks!

Kind regards,
Daniel

Re: web proxy Low speeds and High ping. RB750/751

We have the same experience with the RB411UAHR. The speed is really bad. It matters a little bit, if you use the local storage or not. As in with the local storage, you can get roughly 1mbit download speed. Without the local storage it is more, maybe 2-5 mbit, but that doesn´t even cut it for LTE an...

Routerboard reset miniPCI-e module?

Hi there, we use the Sierra Wireless modules, to provide 3G/4G connectivity and sometimes that connection gets stuck completely. In some cases it is so bad, even rebooting the unit from the Systems menu won´t fix it, so somebody needs to go to the unit, unplug it, wait for 30 seconds and replug it. ...

Awesome! Seems to work like a charm and gladly I only had to forward UDP ports,
so my security concerns were not that real.

btw: if you mirror traffic for wireshark analysis, do you use a routerboard for that?
Back when I was more into network engineering I always had this Hub with me to do that ;)
