Re: v7.6beta [testing] is released!

@aliclubb yes there's an active network. I disabled it, but no luck. I even removed the whole zerotier package and tried to update without success. routeros is the only package installed now on that device and it won't let me update, I also tried to upload the firmware file manually. Still nothing ...

Re: v7.6beta [testing] is released!

My CCR2116 is unable to update to this version, there's nothing in the logs, 42MB free diskspace. It downloads the 7.6beta4 image, reboots and comes up again with version 7.5. 2-Partition setup, user-manager and zerotier extra packages are installed. Do you have any active ZeroTier networks configu...

Re: BGP signaled VPLS in ROSv7

Fixed in 7.3beta40? I don't think so. We are seeing strange behavior. A vpls interface is created against the route reflector , it disappears, it is recreated and it disappears again. This behavior is permanent. However, I am not sure if we are configuring the service correctly. The configuration w...

Re: v7.4beta [testing] is released!

In fact ,I tried. but the problem remains. I am running it on esxi 7.03. I can easily shut down or restart it. not sure if that is "forced way" I think that may be doing it "gracefully". What you need to do is force power-off/force reboot. I think they're called Hard stop and Re...

Re: v7.4beta [testing] is released!

how to update the device mode to enable the container under CHR ? /system/device-mode/update container=yes update: please activate by turning power off or pressing reset or mode button in 4m55s You'll need to force power-off or force reboot the CHR VM. Do that from your hypervisor/VPS dashboard.

Erm yeah... Me neither. Oh MikroTik, what have you done...
Do you have advanced-tool installed?
That's v6 stuff isn't it? Last I knew, you'd done away with separate packages for core functionality with v7.

Re: v7.1rc5 [development] is released!

Probably haven't fixed/enabled the dynamic frequency support in v7 kernel for RB4011 CPU yet or something like that? It feels intentionally gone right now given that the option is missing too, but I'm sure it won't stay that way! In RouterOS v6 there is no dynamic frequency support for the RB4011 (...

Looking at my 6.48.4 ... I can see that default value of add-default-route property in DHCPv6 client is "no" ... So it seems like 7.1rc changed default to yes? It looks like I have set it in v6, believing that this was a reasonable choice (or maybe copying it from someone else's example),...

On RB4011, the selected and active CPU speed is no longer settable and visible (as it was in v6, did not try earlier v7 releases on this router).
It's been like that in v7 forever from what I can remember.

I would like to add to this, in that VLANs appear to be seriously broken on SwOS 2.0. In previous versions of SwOS, namely 1.17, starting from a factory defaulted RB260GSP, all that was needed to allow tagged VLAN management access to the device was to assign the switch an IP address on the manageme...
