Re: No IP Address Acquired

I thought I'd give this old post a ping. I still have this problem. I hate to toss the RB3011 but it is a brick right now. Hope someone can lend a hand before I have to move on.

I tried your two suggestions; Changing the interface to bridge, and cloning the MAC of the Netgear. Neither seemed to make any difference. I did notice that ether1 is getting traffic, about Tx 512 bps and Rx is spiky from 720 bps to 4.3 kbps. But the darned thing isn't getting an IP address. I've ad...

My cable modem dynamically receives an IP address from Comcast. I can log into it (192.168.100.1) and see my external address.

Re: No IP Address Acquired

Weird, as far as I know cable modems give out public IPs, you seem to be connecting your MT to another router (not a modem) and getting a LANIP as a WANIP.????????????? Yes, the cable modem provides an IP to two different access points I've added below it. For whatever reason the RB3011 either isn'...

No IP Address Acquired

I woke up the other day and found I didn't have any internet connection in the house. After doing a bit of trouble shooting I decided it was the MikroTik RB3011. On both the hAP and wAP, use WISP AP from quickset after reset from no-default. After a couple seconds hit Apply again and it should now have IP from your RB3011. You can now...

The cAP AC and the hAP ac² are the best. The hAP has 5 ports if you need them. These units are not outdoor rated, if you need that you'll need to consider the wAP AC. Do you think inside an RV type environment would be considered "outside"? It would be protected from rain and dust, but would have l...
