Re: CCR1072 watchdog reboot

We are having this exact same issue, our CCR1072 randomly reboots. Did the firmware upgrade fix this issue? I must say I cannot tell people to avoid this device more. Since installing we have had major issues with latency spikes until we removed all NAT (Worked perfectly in CCR1036) we have had thes...

Management VLAN on bridge with isolated VLANS

Hopefully someone can provide some assistance. Our network has always been bridged, now we want to isolate segments of our network using VLANS to migrate to a routed network. The issue is we have 1000 wireless devices all on the 172.16.0.0/16 network and they all need to be accessible from every iso...

Re: Ping Spikes Through all SFP+ ports on CCR1072

This did not work, I am still getting ping spikes on every interface, the CPU spikes have stopped however. We are not even reaching 1Gbps over the bridge. Avg of about 70 000pps both ways no NAT and about 900 simple queues. Never had this on our CCR1036 so I can only assume it has something to do wi...

Re: High CPU on CCR1072 every pppoe-client go down

The only issue I have with all of this is that mine worked perfectly with the CCR1036, only now that we have installed a CCR1072 has this become a problem. Latency spikes and packet loss whenever someone disconnects from PPPoE. (CPU is only hitting 50% so surely that should not happen?) We are remov...

Re: Ping Spikes Through all SFP+ ports on CCR1072

Turns out this is caused by CPU spikes, all 72 cores spike to 50% and there is a ping spike and packet loss for all PPPoE clients. Under profile both networking and firewall jump, I have removed all filter rules however I have about 20 NAT rules with about 800 clients using them. I had the exact sam...

Ping Spikes Through all SFP+ ports on CCR1072

I am getting random spikes of between 200 and 400ms on every interface on my CCR1072 firmware version 6.41.3 this happened on 6.41.2 as well.

I ping cabled directly into the router this happens?

Any advice?

Web Proxy and port 443

Hi Guys, I am trying to create a non-payment page for customers connected via PPPoE. I have followed this tutorial (https://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Payment_Reminders) and it is pretty straight forward, however it does not work with port 443/https pages, I have added port 443 into the dst-port field a...

Re: Transparent Bridge - PPPoE

Okay I solved it thanks to countless brilliant posts by ZeroByte and his great way of explaining things.

All I needed to do was add a simple route to the edge router.

Re: Transparent Bridge - PPPoE

Thanks so much for the reply. I want my Mikrotik router to act as a transparent bridge and to be a PPPoE server "I want to configure Mikrotik, to be transparent bridge, and also be a PPPoE server. User would dial in PPPoE server, get authenticated and move to internet. I do not want to use NAT, as t...

Re: Transparent Bridge - PPPoE

No help? I have read many posts where people have managed to figure it out but they don't mention how so I assume someone must know. It definitely seems to be a case of the edge router not knowing how to send the traffic back to the client router. Or the transparent PPPoE bridge not knowing what to ...

Transparent Bridge - PPPoE

I have been searching and trying to do this for months now - I have found a few assisting threads on this forum but non of them seemed to help me get it to work. I am trying to set up a MIkrotik as a transparent bridge with a PPPoE server. This is in a test environment. Edge router: Edge Router is a...

Re: Proxy ARP necessary?

I managed to get it working when manually adding static routes and addresses, I was just hoping not to have to do it for over 300 clients. I guess doing it for 300 clients individually is still better than proxy-arp.

Proxy ARP necessary?

Hi Guys, Firstly I am a Mikrotik and networking novice. I am hoping you can help me. My basic setup. I have a CCR with the IP address of ether2 being - 165.50.0.1/16 , this is my NAT router and has the masquerade rule that gives it internet. I have another Mikrotik with the IP address of the WAN por...
