Re: DHCPv6 pd with radius

FYI Took me a while to figure that one out. If you are using Session-Timeout in radius (which I need for the router to authenticate again against the radius server, otherwise the lease is renewed by host without checking if it is still allowed), beware ! I have Session-Timeout set to 20 minutes on r...

Re: DHCPv6 pd with radius

FYI
when allow-dual-stack-queue is checked on the DHCPv6 server, the radius username is the client's mac address separated by colons
when it is disabled, the username is different (!?) it's still the client's mac address but with no separator.

Re: OpneVPN server binding issues

Interesting. That would mean the client reconnects before the server could unbind it.

Thanks for the tip I'm trying this. If no further news from me then that's fixed for me ;)

Re: OpneVPN server binding issues

same problem with l2tp server binding.

DHCPv6 pd with radius

I can't get DHCPv6 to work with radius. Long story short : - I have a working setup with use-radius=no. The client gets its prefix and a dynamic route is added in the server. - once I set use-radius=yes, all happens as expected except for one thing : the route added by the DHCPv6 server has no gatew...

Re: [Feature request] Dhcp relay and arp bind

needed here too, I use arp=reply-only and add-arp-for-leases but when working with a DHCP relay, this records the DHCP relay MAC address instead of the client one.

Re: How to using unset command throught RouterOS API

Also looking for this, after searching I found in another thread you have to use the value-name field.
So in this thread case that would be :
/ip/route/unset
=.id=*2
=value-name=routing-mark

Re: /tool fetch - to variable [SOLVED]

Same here, that would be handy.

My workaround is to send current state with url parameters, then if there is nothing to change the HTTP server answers with status code 400. This raises an error at mikrotik side and aborts the script without writing any file or log entry.

Re: Switch Chip Fun (Vlan 0 issue)

If it can help others, I figured out my main issue. Not the firmware, not the vlan id, just that hybrid ports (that is managing both tagged and untagged vlan) are not supported on all routers . The router won't complain or say anything about that, it will just silently fail. As per the wiki about hy...

Re: Switch Chip Fun (Vlan 0 issue)

Note sure if it's because I upgraded to 6.41 or used another vlan ID (64 instead of 0 or 1), but I could manage tagged and untagged traffic more easily once I added table vlan 64 on all ports, with all ports (including switch-cpu) on secure + default-vlan-id=64 + always strip. That is, vlan 64 as de...

Re: Switch Chip Fun (Vlan 0 issue)

Same here... no fix since 2012 ?

As per viewtopic.php?t=118086 vlan 0 is used my mikrotik to identify untagged traffic.
If I try with vlan 1 that does not work.

Re: Feature Request: Ipsec Hardware Acceleration for RB3011

Right, it's a bit frustrating to know it can do it while not being able to use it.
We would definitely make use of such feature.

Re: Feature requests

Being able to customize the hAP WPS button behavior, like having it trigger a script.
(our use case would be to easily turn the Wi-Fi on/off)

Re: Wi-Fi on-off switch

Same here.
It'd be nice to be able to customize the hAP button behavior, like having it trigger a script.
We usually don't need WPS while some customers want to be able to easily turn the Wi-Fi on/off.

Re: Webfig IPv6

Same here, I'm on a Hex RB750Gr3.
I enabled ipv6 package but it's not showing up in webfig nor in design skin even after restart.
I have to use winbox to see the ipv6 menu.

Re: Log pool6 refuse acquere: bad preferred prefix length!

Same issue here, I get the error log "pool6 refused acquire: bad preferred prefix length! (6)". I'm new to RouterOS and trying to setup ipv6 via pppoe. The Mikrotik router is the server, I defined an ipv6 pool, added it to the ppp profile. The radius is also sending a Framed-Ip-Prefix attribute. Bot...
