Zero Downtime Through OpenVPN

Hello Community, I have 2 WANs (2 pppoe accounts, each have its own local address and gateway) Both are from the same ISP. I have both WANs loadbalanced and have PCC (2/1 and 2/2) and failover (routing) and are going through a bridge called "Bridge-Local". WAN1's gateway is x.x.x.x (local address as...

Re: Redirect Port to specific WAN [SOLVED]

Hi You can to that with mangling. In mangle:prerouting, route-mark all all packets for port SSH (tcp:22) (or any other port you might be using), with some mark. Next step, make sure you have a route over desired isp with that routing-mark. See https://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Policy_Base_Routing, wrt...

Re: Redirect Port to specific WAN [SOLVED]

If WAN2 for whatever reason (ISP problems) goes down do you want everyone to go to WAN1 for backup purposes? This assumes wan1 and wan2 are not from the same provider, if they are you can disregard this question as both would be not available in the case of ISP failure. Thanks for the reply! That's...

Redirect Port to specific WAN [SOLVED]

Hi there! I hope I can get a clear answer on this one. So far I haven't found any guide or question about this before (as to my keyword knowledge in searching). Let's say i have: WAN1 PPPOE (ISP1) IP: 10.10.10.10 (normal internet access) WAN2 PPPOE (ISP2) IP: 11.11.11.11 (normal internet access) is ...

Re: problem with new routing mark

If you would want to prevent the existing sessions from breaking, you would need an x86 or CHR running as a virtual machine somewhere in a data center, create tunnels between your home Mikrotik and the one in the DC via both your uplinks, and use OSPF to control the failover between the tunnels. In...

Loadbalance/Fail over/Bonding

Hello! is there a mikrotik device that allows me to insert 2 simcards and have a 4g/LTE connection and if so, here's the case: I'm looking for a way to be able to switch from SIM1 to SIM2 without any downtime. meaning I don't want browser downloads let's say to fail or pause forever and stuff like t...

Re: Merge 2 PPPOE WANs [SOLVED]

Re: Merge 2 PPPOE WANs [SOLVED]

If some config is not working - post that config with basic diagnostics (not just 'connection timeout', but ping/traceroute). We're not telepathists. Hello friend, sorry for being late as i was testing every possibility.. nothing is working at all unfortunately. please just look into the export bel...

Re: Merge 2 PPPOE WANs [SOLVED]

https://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:PCC#Application_Example_-_Load_Balancing or, for the start, you may just try /interface pppoe-client set [find] default-route-distance=5 /ip route add gateway=PPPoE-Out1,PPPoE-Out2 it will balance equally, but problems with secure websites may appear thanks for...

Re: How to use RB951 as a switch/network-hub(old word)

Just plug your cables into ports 2-5 and it will work as a switch. thanks for the reply, i've plugged in the ISP cable on ether1 and the tenda on ether5 ( i haven't configured anything my self, all were default settings came wit...
