Re: Managed CAPs don't broadcast SSID if CAPsMAN is offline.

I'd also really like this functionality. UniFi supports continued operation even when the controller goes offline.

RB3011 dropping packets unless packet sniffer running [SOLVED]

I have a weird issue with my Router. One of my hosts (Server) is having no issues with inbound traffic, as well as traffic to or from anything on the same subnet. However, any packet going from Server to Router have a 90% chance of being dropped: 54 packets transmitted, 6 received, 88.8889% packet l...

Re: CHR EULA?

I was hoping for somebody to provide a link to an official source. I definitely wasn't going to take anybody's word for it without a link to a Mikrotik EULA.

Thanks for the idea of contacting sales. I think I'll go down that route.

Re: CHR EULA?

I haven't worked out the details. I'm just trying to figure out if what's allowed. There's no way I can get this company to approve it without an EULA.

CHR EULA?

I'm looking at using The Dude within a company, but I need to be very careful about licensing. I'd like to put the server on a free (1mbps) CHR, but I need to know what's permitted by the EULA. Also, does it ever reach out to Mikrotik automatically other than for firmware updates and license checkin...

PoE Switch with redundant power?

I was really, really happy to see the CRS328-24P-4S+RM, the first high density PoE switch Mikrotik has offered. I would like to request that a future product be made like this one but with redundant power. This would be especially useful in an IP phone situation, where high reliability is important.

Re: DHCPv6: ia_na: not found

I just found out that it works if only prefix is selected on the client and not address, and not both. This is a bug, I assume?

DHCPv6: ia_na: not found

I'm trying to set up basic DHCPv6 functionality. However, it doesn't seem to be working. The Mikrotik client sends the request, the Mikrotik server sends the reply, and the client doesn't like it. These are the dhcp, debug and dhcp, debug, packet server logs: recv server: Doppler v6 fe80::4e5e:cff:feaa...

DHCP CAPs Managers option in other DHCP servers

I'm using a Linux box with isc-dhcp-server for my network's DHCP server. How can I set the CAPs managers option in a non-Mikrotik DHCP server?

Re: Feature Request: DHCP Reverse DNS

Thank you for your responses. It seems that Mikrotik's DHCP server cannot do what I require because of what ZeroByte said about the dns-update tool not supporting PTR records.

Disable CAPsMAN Encryption

Is there a way to disable the DTLS encryption on CAPsMAN? I'd like to use this feature over an amateur radio mesh network but encryption over amateur radio is illegal.

Feature Request: DHCP Reverse DNS

The ISC's DHCP server has the ability to do zone updates to other hosts' DNS servers (establishing forward and reverse DNS records for all hosts). This would be a feature I'd like to have in RouterOS.

Check gateway not working

I have two interfaces, one wireless and one wired. They're on the same network. I want the wired to be preferred but if it doesn't work, I want it to failover to the wireless. My config and hw information is as follows: # aug/28/2017 18:27:41 by RouterOS 6.40.2 # software id = ZJLZ-R3ND # # model = ...

Wireless in MetaROUTER

I want to run OLSR on a Mikrotik board, so I figured I needed to run OpenWRT in a MetaROUTER, But it seems I can't give a MetaROUTER control of a wireless interface, based on what I see online. Is this the case? If so, why?
