Re: CCR2004-1G-2XS-PCIe network chip

I really hope that the card does not consume 22W of power (without attachments) - that would be way to much.

Re: CRS326 + multiple vlans with hardware offloading and non-vlan ports

Thanks for your replies. See the VLAN link in my signature. I've implemented it with great success in my environments. That's a pretty cool summary/guide, it gave a me a whole new perspective for my network architecture. Based on that i decided to move the CRS326 to the top, so it is directly attach...

CRS326 + multiple vlans with hardware offloading and non-vlan ports

Hello, i want to replace a CRS125 with a CRS326 and switch from bridge-based vlans to vlan switching over the switch chip, so that hardware offloading does work for all vlans. i read in the wiki how this can be done with the crs326, but i am not sure if my planned setup is possible with only using o...

Access to Mikrotik behind CGN with VPN (Ubuntu)

Hi, i have a dual-wan-failover setup here - one uplink is common cable internet, the other one is a SXT LTE Kit from Mikrotik. My cellular provider does not provide public IP addresses for LTE users and uses carrier grade NAT, which is bad. I just want the possibility to access my network in case of...

Re: Advanced CAPSman config with vlan trunk to firewall

Fixed by setting datapath to the same bridge as the local network, using tag with VID. the real problem was a typo in the default route for the vlan, fixed that, too.

Advanced CAPSman config with vlan trunk to firewall

Hi there, i have some problems with adding a wireless network for guests to my network setup, which manages the wireless aps via capsman. The CAPSman manager switch has a direct connection to the OPNSense Firewall with one 10 Gbit/s cable. So, i want to add the guest network separated by VLAN from m...

Re: Split trunk eth/vlan port transparently to two physical ports

thanks for your reply. somewhere on the forum i read that the interface which is used for passthrough on the mikrotik device claims all packets from the mac address which is used for passthrough. Unfortunately i can't find this post again. That's why i tried to assign a different mac address to the ...

Split trunk eth/vlan port transparently to two physical ports

Hello, i have a problem with a SXT LTE Kit regarding LTE-Passthrough and concurrent management of the device. The SXT LTE Kit is directly attached with one 100m cable to an OPNSense (FreeBSD-based) firewall server, and provides via multi-wan a fallback connection in case of a failed DSL connection. ...

Re: LTE Passthrough getting address as expected but no internet

Which RouterOS version do you have on both devices ? I have a WAP LTE Kit connected to an OPNSense firewall, which lost internet access after upgrading to RoS 6.43. After that, i did a downgrade back to 6.42.7 and the connection was back online. I think this change in 6.43 caused or is related to th...

Re: S+RJ10 and Jumbo Frames

I tried the same with two S+RJ10 modules per switch and found the following: 2x CRS317-24G-2S+ with 2x S+RJ10 both switches have a minimal configuration: bridge with all RJ45 and SFP Ports, HW Offloading, MTU = 9000 Switch1 is connected with Switch2 via SFP1 on both devices. Two workstations are con...

show the real link speed of 10 GbE SFP modules

Hello, i have some problems with my 10 GbE network, which i can't properly analyze due some strange behavior of the mikrotik switches or the sfp modules. so, basically, my setup looks like this: Workstation (S+85DLC03DI via SFP to PCIe Card) <---- 30m 50/125 OM4 fibre cable ----> SFP1 (S+85DLC03DI) ...

(new) SXT LTE kit availability

Just a short and quick question, is there any timeline for the release of the new SXT LTE Kit as some other products from the MUM are already listed ? I am desperately in need of a better solution, currently i have a wap lte kit at a location, which barely has enough reception. the only available ba...

Re: S+RJ10 10Gb SFP module: Do they even work?

That is very strange, i think at least 1Gb has to work. While 35m may be too long for 10Gb, the lesser rates should work. Mikrotik states 30m as maximum length for a CAT6 cable, so a CAT5e cable is possibly worse. I just tried it with my setup after patching both Cat5e cables together (total length ...

Re: S+RJ10 10Gb SFP module: Do they even work?

Hello, hope my answer does not come too late. i have three CRS326 installed, one per floor, with six S+RJ10 modules. the cables between the floors are duplex CAT5e F/UTP with ~50m length, so i put one CRS326 on the first floor. cellar to first floor are now ~20m, first floor to second floor ~30m cab...

Re: S+RJ10 availability

Hello,

yes i did a few tests. Everything fine so far, there are a few driver issues with Linux (you basically need to compile the driver from ubuntu 18.04 source), but the Windows machine is fine. Tested with 30m CAT.7 S/SFTP cable between CRS326 and Asus XG-C100C, 10 GBit/s up and running.

Re: S+RJ10 availability

Got them today. Plugged into a CRS317-1G-16S+. What a shame. Shows link without a cable plugged in and lights go on and off. Auto Negotiation shows done/10Gbps. TX Counters increase. Seems to be a wireless card. SFP Info show 1m Copperlength and Wavelength 1280.00nm. SFP Info says the same here, TX...
