Groove 52 ac US channel support

I have a Groove 52 ac (US version) that I am attempting to connect to a public wifi but it would not find the access point. After doing some research, I realized it isn't showing up because the public wifi AP is using channel 52 which is centered on 5260 and the US version of the Groove is locked to...

Does RouterOS have a Safe Boot or Minimal Boot option?

Does RouterOS have a Safe Boot or Minimal Boot method that can be enacted when a wireless radio is causing the system to lockup or reboot when initialized? If not, it would be nice to have a feature based on a method of power cycling the unit that it would do a minimal boot which would boot the rout...

Setup RouterOS to try Netboot first every boot

Is there a way to set up RouterOS to attempt to boot from Network Boot Server for 5 or 15 seconds before timing out and booting like normal? When looking at the Routerboard Settings in Winbox, I see "try-ethernet-once-then-nand" but I want it to behave this way on every boot not just once. I see in ...

If I create the rule without a SRC address, I can telnet to the port. If I create it with the SRC address, I cannot telnet to the port even from the IP that is the trusted IP.

NAT for trusted IP

Is it possible to create a NAT that can only be used from a trusted IP or trusted range of IP's? I am needing to create a NAT for a SQL server on TCP 1433 but I don't want to open the port for the entire Internet, just from a trusted IP range where I am going to have a developer needing direct acces...

SR9 compatibility with RB112?

Will the SR9 card work in a RB112? I was thinking about getting a couple to setup a PtP link to do some testing but wasn't sure if the RB112 could provide the necessary power requirements for the card?

Thanks

Can someone (possibly from MT) please explain how the noise-floor information is calculated? I can run a snoop or freq-usage and find the absolute worst channel to operate on, setup my wlan on it and MT shows a -98 noise-floor and then change to a clear channel (low bandwidth usage) and it shows a -...

I have several AP's running WRAP.2C's with SR2's and most of them show "current-tx-powers: 1Mbps:26,2Mbps:26,5.5Mbps:26,11Mbps:26" which I would assume to be correct. I have one that shows: "current-tx-powers: 1Mbps:16,2Mbps:16,5.5Mbps:16,11Mbps:16" All systems are on 2.9.12 and have TX Power set to...

After making this change, I lost about 4-5 db across all my CPE. Is this to be expected with this change to make the card run more stable? I previously was set to "All rates fixed: 30"
I assume no response means this should be expected?

I configured a Routerboard 512 with an SR2 & SR5. Connected pigtails, LMR, antenna, etc on the ground and tested everything. I see what you are talking about.. in 2.8, there was a TX bit rate setting and a seperate RX bit rate setting, you are saying to just combine both of those into the Rate Limit by doing 512000/256000? It seems like it was much more explanatory in 2.8 as it actually says RX bitrate in bit/s. Now it ju...

PPP profiles / Rate limiting

In 2.8, I was able to set TX and RX rate limits per profile but in 2.9, that does not appear to be an option. Does this mean I will have to do my rate limiting on each individual user instead of just applying a "512k/256k profile" which already had the rate limits in it to the users?

Multiple IP's over one PPPoE session

Is it possible to provide a range/block of IP's via a single PPPoE account? Assuming it is possible to do this via MT, do I need a special router on the other end to support multiple IPs? I have never seen a lower end Trendnet or Linksys router that would support NAT on multiple IPs.

Thanks,

I got it fixed. The issue was that I needed to assign the DHCP server to listen on the Bridge1 interface which was created during the process of setting up the WDS. I also had to set PPPoE to listen on the Bridge1 interface to get existing clients reconnected via PPPoE.
