Re: CRS305 SFP+ connect speedtest

What exactly do you want to test? When testing by bandwidth test in ROS between two devices you are not really testing network performance, but rather CPU performance of the devices. To test bandwidth properly you should test through your devices, not between them. And you can do so for SwOS as wel...

Re: CRS317 SwOS boots with no connectivity

Hi

once u boot into the switchOS

you will only be able to login via web interface on IP 192.168.88.1 or 192.168.88.2

so u have to setup a static ip on your pc NIC interface on the same range in order to be able to connect.

then u can upgrade it to switchOS 2.11 via the web interface

Re: How to enable 2 Static public IP block´s /30 feed on 1 fiber SFP , split into 2 different mikrotiks.

Sounds like an MTU issue, the default PPPoE server setup has an MTU of 1480. Its strange but doesnt sound like an mtu issue.. i thinks its something in the mangle , or mark-routing that its not accepting it to filter it correctly on Static LAN ips from another interface, tbh i am kind of lost now.....

Re: How to enable 2 Static public IP block´s /30 feed on 1 fiber SFP , split into 2 different mikrotiks.

Let's call CCR1009 (the ISP facing) R1. And let's call CCR1036 (the remote one) R2. The simplest case: if R1 and R2 are (more or less) completely independent from L3 (IP) point of view, then you could bridge two SFP interfaces on R1 (one currently used for WAN and one currently used to connect to R...

Re: Multiple static public IPs through one interface

Again, it depends how the ISP route it. When they route the second /30 via the 1st, you can just set it on a link between your two routers and it will work. But when they route the second block just directly on the line (address2 via address1) you will need to use tricks. Hi yes indeed they use the...

This was their response: Network IP *.*.135.188/30 Subnet Mask *.*.255.252 Host IP's *.*.135.189 & *.*.135.190 (Usable IP's) Broadcast *.*.135.191 Most likely a litle bit late for posting the outcome, but basicaly a /30 just means you have 2 IPs, one will be your gateway and the other will be y...

Hi

Have a look at VRF/routing rules, with it you can setup independent routing for specific incoming interfaces.
Hi Sebastia thxs

i will do some research on it..

BTW forgot to ask before, can i use 2 different VLAN on one specific Interface on the Mikrotik without being bridge interface?

Re: RouterOS 6.39 bandwidth test on x86 AMD doubts

I can't see the photos but you have to run multiple up or tcp streams to use all codes. What way are you testing? Also the numbers you get are crazy good for this Cpu. Do you really mean Gbps? The Cpu only has 4 threads as Amd do not have hyperthreading until Ryzen, called SMT I think. Also this Cp...
