Re: Scaling Mikrotik

Hello. My customer is using mikrotik for terminating l2tp channels. About 30 CCR. Typical scheme is: Aggregator CCR: CPE: vlan ---- bridge ---- vpls---- l2tpl-----------l2tp----vpls----bridge-----ethernet On each CCR can be from 100 to 200 clients approximately. It has such kind of problems: - on so...

CCR1009-7G-1C-1S+ must disable/enable interface to transfer traffic after rebooting

Hello.

Strange situation:
After rebooting, interfaces on a CCR1009-7G-1C-1S+ are in running state, but traffic doesn't transfer.
It is necessary to disable/enable physical interfaces to solve this issue.
RouterOS is 6.42.10.

Could you advice please, how to solve the problem?

Regards,
Modest Sokolov

Re: Bug: No such item(4) or object doesn't exist (4)

Hello. Thanks for the answer. I tried to edit interfaces at the time when they run and not using scripts. Could you please clarify is this bug or not? Empty parameters for PPP ON/DOWN scripts on client side

Hello.
When I use scripts UP/DOWN in ppp profile for l2tp-client interface, parameters $user, $caller-id, $called-id are empty.
Is it correct or this is a bug?
I use 6.38.7 (bugfix).

Re: CHR x86 ethernet interfaces random names

Hello, I have this issue too.

I've tested it on 6.39.3 (bugfix), 6.40.8(bugfix), 6.42.6 on Vmware and KVM/QENU.

Is it any solution?

Re: VPLS: MTU 1500 on interface to CPE

Hi, yes i think that is possible, but only using VPLS tunnels in the middle, if you want to add another header stage like L2TP/IPSec and PPP it will decrease the MTU bu default. Yes, you are right, but what about packet fragmentation? Can Mikrotik fragment VPLS packets and transfer them in L2TP/IPS...

Re: IPsec and SSH in VRF for MPLS

Hello kharkin0.

Your question is very actual for me too.
Was you able to solve it?
My experience is the same - after the interface is in VRF and is used for IPSec, any traffic stops via it.
