Almost 12 months are passed and no information... no plans, no progress. I need to make DNS queries outside local network via secured channel to improve confidentiality. I have disabled firewall rule disabling incoming connection from L2TP (ISP-provider). After that update works... After update I have enabled the rule back.

I think I got required behaviour with Server DNS names.

Not most straightforward behaviour but it work... Primary NTP Server should be 0.0.0.0.

Yes you can use a dns record but only in the built in SNTP client. The NTP client in the NTP package does not support this as far as I know.
