Invoke Powershell Script from the Dude

I would like to make a probe that will execute the following powershell script on a networked computer in order to check for AC power loss on a laptop, but I am unsure how to get this to work. Any help would be appreciated. (Get-WmiObject -Class BatteryStatus -Namespace root\wmi -ComputerName $Compu...

Re: Link bitrate stats not working

SO I thought I had solved this issue, by migrating back to 4.0b3 as in my tests i was showing SNMP link bandwidth, but it turns out, the problem is only partially solved. I am now getting bandwidth on the Links, but it does not update unless I double click on a link and bring up the settings dialogu...

Re: Migrate database back to 4.0b3 [SOLVED]

According to Mikrotik support, there is no way to migrate the database back to 4.0b3. Will have to recreate dude maps and devices manually.

Trouble with Custom Function and probe

I am trying to build a custom function in the dude 4.0b3 to capture the 1 minute average CPU usage of a Cisco SG300 switch. I have snmp walked the device and determined the specific oid i need is: 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.6.1.101.1.7.0 I have been trying to follow along with the following post to build the fun...

Re: Migrate database back to 4.0b3 [SOLVED]

I know i can export the dude database from terminal with dude export-db command, however I do not know what file type this is and it appears it is not what 4.0b3 is looking for (.tgz or .xml)

Re: Dude Report False Outages [SOLVED]

This turned out to be an issue with the vmware host the dude was running on. We have moved the dude to another host and everything is working as it should be.

Re: Link bitrate stats not working

It seems this issue is related to Dude ver 6.x I have since created a test machine on 4.0b3 and everything works as it should. I think we are going to migrate back to 4.0b3 until 6.x proves to be more reliable. It appears that Mikrotik has once again ceased development of the dude as no feature upda...

Migrate database back to 4.0b3 [SOLVED]

Due to unresolved issues with dude 6.x we are forced to move back to 4.0b3. Is there a way to migrate the database back from 6.40 to 4.0b3?

Re: Link bitrate stats not working

Update on this. I loaded up a new vm with 6.41.2 CHR and have recreated the watchguard and main switch and added a link that should reflect Interface Eth 0/1 on the firebox. I have attached a screenshot and as you can see, I am getting no information on the link display for tx or rx bandwidth, howev...

Re: Link bitrate stats not working

So, I have determined that I am pretty sure the issue with this is the built-in function link_index. I am certain that this is not an error, rather, the probe is actually reading a value of 0 for tx and rx bitrate. Since watchguard has informed me that the interface indexes changed in their latest s...

Re: Link bitrate stats not working

I tried same setup on 4.0b3 and everything works as it should. According to Watchguard, they did make a change that caused the OID numbers for the interfaces to be different as detailed in the link below https://watchguardsupport.secure.force.com/publicKB?type=KBArticle&SFDCID=kA22A000000HQnRSAW&lan...

Re: Link bitrate stats not working

I have 5 watchguard firewalls and all links to them are responding the same since we upgraded the firmware on the firewalls. I have verified all of them on the test map with the same results. I was searching some more on the forum and found this https://forum.mikrotik.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=105008&...

I have added one of the devices to a test map as you suggest, and still not working correctly. I have attached a screenshot of the properties dialogues open, so hopefully that will help

Link bitrate stats not working

I have a deployment of the dude running on x86 ver 6.41. It has been set up and running for a year. I monitor my watchguard utm appliances and interfaces to ISP uplinks and Branch office VPN's. Yesterday we had to perform a firware upgrade on all 5 of our watchguard utm's and since then all SNMP lin...

Dude Report False Outages [SOLVED]

We have an implementation of the Dude running on x86 RB running 6.40. We have it monitoring quite a few things and most of the time everything is great, however, randomly it will report outages of specific services (ie. memory, disk, cpu, etc) however the device will never lose ping. Also, it has be...

Charts not displaying right scale [SOLVED]

Attached is a chart that I have for the 1 Minute CPU Usage of a Cisco SG300 switch. The data seems accurate, however why is the Y axis on the chart in milliseconds instead of percent utilization. Is there any way to fix this?

Thanks

The Dude 6.39.2 Log Files

WE have ran the dude 4.0b3 for quite some time to monitor our network. We recently deployed a VM with CHR 6.39.2 and have migrated the Dude to this instance and have de-commissioned the old 4.0b3 server. One thing that I notice is in the 6.39.2 instance, there is only one log file built in now. Befo...

Dude Server loses custom Syslogs [SOLVED]

We have the Dude 4.0Beta3 installed on a Windows Server and configured to monitor network. One of the configurations we have made is we have 6 custom syslogs to seperate out firewall and switch logs from three different sites. These work as they should until the server is rebooted (or the dude proce...
