Re: LAG (LACP) or RSTP or both???

Hi! I know this thread is already a bit dated, but the issue I'm having seems to be related to using LACP and RSTP at the same time. I have a non-MikroTik switch where I can disable RSTP on each port forming the LAG, but enable it for the LAG itself. I don't know what that switch is doing with RSTP ...

Re: Why people pair UBNT APs with MikroTik routers?

what I've seen so far edge router series is meh TBH, I absolutely love to work on the EdgeRouter's CLI, rarely look at the GUI at all. It's a Linux that you can script to your liking. It also has a feature (not out of the box but easily added) to forward broadcasts on certain ports into different s...

Re: 2 untagged VLAN same interface

Isn't that what happens when someone makes a mistake and connects a cable between two access ports configured in different vlans on two different switches? Wouldn't this be the solution? Take two unused ports, configure their untagged vids to the two vids in question, and then bridge them with an e...

Re: CSS326-24G-2S+RM hangs until power cycle - interworking issue with UniFi APs?

I have the very same problem with my CSS326 for a a very long time now and it happened with basically every firmware since v2.3, currently running v2.8: After some time - sometimes weeks, sometimes a few days, recently it was less than a day (see below) - it just locks up and would not let any traff...

Re: CSS326-24G-2S+RM incorrect stats

I have updated the SwOS of my CSS326-24G-2S+RM switch to SwOS 2.6 and the stats tab gives incorrect values. It seams that the TX bytes and RX bytes are frequently reset to zero. Is this a bug or a feature? Regarding the original question: That's probably the 32bit rollover (approx. 4GB). SwOS 2.8 u...

Hello.. The MTU is not able con be configured in SwOS, however, there is a table which helps to know if a CRS or CSS support jumbo frames. Actually, you can find it here: https://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:CRS_features and here https://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:CRS3xx_series_switches But to ...

Re: RB260GS does not like version 2.7

You said that IP address changed since after SwOS is upgraded. Not true - in this case the switch will not recover its IP to 192.168.1.200 after reset (power off, power on). That's not what he said. With v2.5+ IP is retrieved via DHCP and only if that fails, switch uses the preconfigured address. S...

Hello, I doubt we're discussing the exact same thing: - Bonjour is working fine with help of avahi reflector as mentioned - Proprietary bjnp protocol (especially discovery frames) is the problem. Frames aren't reaching other vlan(s). I would just need to echo packet in another subnet/vlan. So I gue...

But it does not work with Dt. Telekom (T-COM) VDSL connections. That should change during 2018.
Why so? If that's when you get migrated to BNG, it should still work now on the old BRAS.

Re: SwOS MTU

I read somewhere that e.g. the CSR326 does support jumbo frames (I don't see a reason why that should be a setting that can be enabled and disabled - a switch has a certain maximum packet size that it supports, no more, no less) but I couldn't get it to work in my setup between a Win 10 desktop and ...

Hello Community! The CSS326 is the lowest priced SFP+ capable switch I know of and the UF-MM-10G the lowest priced 10G transceiver I could find, thus for a home setup like mine this seems to be a dream team. I searched for compatibility info about that combination before I bought the modules but did...

Re: 2 x CSS326-24G-2S+RM

Hi,

Not sure whether this helps, but I have a DAC between my SFP+-equiped-NAS and CSS326 and the switch auto-negotiates the port to 10G according to the 'Link' tab. I didn't have the time yet to actually test the bandwidth, though.

Cheers,

Yes you can! :)
Make the port member of both VLANs (VLANs tab) and make the untagged VLAN the default VLAN (VLAN tab), "VLAN receive" set to "any", mode set to "enabled" (not sure what "optional" does).

Re: RB260GS v2.2 Management VLAN STILL BROKEN

I can now confirm this is fixed in v2.3. I added management VLAN configuration and can still access the management interface.
I have not yet tested whether the setting is correctly enforced, i.e. whether access is denied from other VLANs.

Apparently it's fixed now with v2.3. I don't want to test this as I only have a production unit (no test device) and I don't want to risk losing access to my main switch.
Can anyone confirm this is fixed with v2.3?

SwOS version 2.3rc2?

Hi,

The "Upgrade" tab on my CSS326 (SwOS 2.2) sais "Latest Available Version: 2.3rc2 (built at Wed May 24 2017 13:36:36 GMT+0200 (Mitteleuropäische Sommerzeit))". There is neither a link to a changelog nor to a firmware image download.
Where can I find information about 2.3rc2?

Re: SwOS version 2.2 released

Can the CSS326 max out a Link Aggregation Group or is link aggregation only implemented in the CPU?

One other thing: From the wiki it seems that the switch doesn't support balance-rr as an aggregation algorithm, but maybe it will in the future?
