Re: Mikrotik VDSL / DSL Modem?

You may be allowed to replace their box but you have to accept a VOIP liability, so I would not. What do you mean with "VoIP liability"? I received the SIP credentials from my ISP, so I was able to use my own hardware for everything - DSL modem (DGA4132), router (Ubiquiti ER-X), SIP-Clien...

Re: Mikrotik VDSL / DSL Modem?

But I would not replace my cable modem/router for SFP if I have to add an ATA box even if I could. Don't most people that prefer a "real" router (Cisco, MikroTik, Ubiquiti, Juniper, ...) use a separate modem? The moment you switch the ISP's CPE into modem/bridge mode, the telephony capabi...

Re: Mikrotik VDSL / DSL Modem?

We only need support from MikroTik so that parameters of the line can be viewed and possibly tweaked when such a module is plugged into a MikroTik router. Similar to what is now possible for fiber modules but with values as usual for DSL. Reading this got my hopes high and I plugged in a GPON ONU t...

Re: LAG (LACP) or RSTP or both???

Hi! I know this thread is already a bit dated, but the issue I'm having seems to be related to using LACP and RSTP at the same time. I have a non-MikroTik switch where I can disable RSTP on each port forming the LAG, but enable it for the LAG itself. I don't know what that switch is doing with RSTP ...

Isn't that what happens when someone makes a mistake and connects a cable between two access ports configured in different vlans on two different switches? Wouldn't this be the solution? Take two unused ports, configure their untagged vids to the two vids in question, and then bridge them with an e...

I have the very same problem with my CSS326 for a a very long time now and it happened with basically every firmware since v2.3, currently running v2.8: After some time - sometimes weeks, sometimes a few days, recently it was less than a day (see below) - it just locks up and would not let any traff...

Re: CSS326-24G-2S+RM incorrect stats

I have updated the SwOS of my CSS326-24G-2S+RM switch to SwOS 2.6 and the stats tab gives incorrect values. It seams that the TX bytes and RX bytes are frequently reset to zero. Is this a bug or a feature? Regarding the original question: That's probably the 32bit rollover (approx. 4GB). SwOS 2.8 u...

You said that IP address changed since after SwOS is upgraded. Not true - in this case the switch will not recover its IP to 192.168.1.200 after reset (power off, power on). That's not what he said. With v2.5+ IP is retrieved via DHCP and only if that fails, switch uses the preconfigured address. S...

But it does not work with Dt. Telekom (T-COM) VDSL connections. That should change during 2018.
Why so? If that's when you get migrated to BNG, it should still work now on the old BRAS.

Hi,

Not sure whether this helps, but I have a DAC between my SFP+-equiped-NAS and CSS326 and the switch auto-negotiates the port to 10G according to the 'Link' tab. I didn't have the time yet to actually test the bandwidth, though.

Yes you can! :)
Make the port member of both VLANs (VLANs tab) and make the untagged VLAN the default VLAN (VLAN tab), "VLAN receive" set to "any", mode set to "enabled" (not sure what "optional" does).

I have not yet tested whether the setting is correctly enforced, i.e. whether access is denied from other VLANs.

Can anyone confirm this is fixed with v2.3?

Can the CSS326 max out a Link Aggregation Group or is link aggregation only implemented in the CPU?

One other thing: From the wiki it seems that the switch doesn't support balance-rr as an aggregation algorithm, but maybe it will in the future?
