Re: DHCP server: have static IP on one subnet, dynamic IP on another subnet [SOLVED]

https://i.imgur.com/5ftNXg6.png Make sure this is set to the name of your DHCP server instance for the subnet that the address is on - 'dhcp-lan' in your case - so that /ip dhcp-server lease add address=192.168.1.1 mac-address=<redacted> comment="laptop" becomes /ip dhcp-server lease add ...

Re: CCR1009 maxes out at 2gbps?

You might be capping out one or two CPU cores per-VLAN. Maybe a good idea to check that your interface queues are set to multi-queue-ethernet-default?

/interface dsl on RB750GL / 6.41rc20
Doesn't show up on my RB960PGS on either 6.41rc20 or the latest 6.41rc :(

Soon, though, I hope!

Re: Newsletter 78 with 1GBPS WIRELESS PRODUCT ANNOUNCEMENT!

Finding stock of these seems to be nearly impossible - my distributors all say late december! I can't really complain though since I was complaining about the lack of official release. Is there something wrong there? With the device emblazoned across the top of the forums I'd have expected more stoc...

Check out this MUM presentation; https://mum.mikrotik.com/presentations/ ... 062656.pdf

Video of presentation here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dFZz2z6RdQY

You might be able to implement something along these lines :)

Re: Newsletter 78 with 1GBPS WIRELESS PRODUCT ANNOUNCEMENT!

It's the same casing as a wAP / wAP AC / wAP R - should be fairly weatherproof :)

One further thing to add; as this is an RB750Gr3, you can add a microSD card for additional storage.

That FCC filing is exactly the sort of tidbit I hoped someone would dig up - thanks much, guys. Can't be super long now :)

Re: factory reset button

Completely disagree. The number of times this functionality has reset a radio on a tower because water wicked into a cable or any number of other things... A power-sequence based reset like Cambium have might be a good option, but we end up disabling that also on most devices because of unintentiona...

Yeah, I figure if there was news we'd know. It'd just be nice to have something other than dead silence between the "hey this is coming!" announcement & actual release :(

wAP 60G - Vague timeline?

So the wAP 60G was shown off at a few MUMs (MUM EU mostly), and last month's newsletter featured a press release from Qualcomm about it, but things have been relatively quiet (silent, even) on the 60GHz/802.11ad front since. Can we coax any kind of tiny update out of the team? Just an idea as to whe...

Re: CCR1036-8G-2S+- 10Gb optics 20KM

MikroTik don't make optics that go beyond 10km at this point, and will only guarantee support for MikroTik optics, but the device should support any SFP+ optic - an optic such as http://www.fs.com/products/48813.html (I usually get the cisco-compatible ones as they've always worked in my MT devices ...

RB3011 should handle that just fine, or the RB1100/CCR1009 if you want to go full overkill.

Re: 802.3 POE and PoE Out = Forced On ? (ie on new Omnitik 5 poe)

Auto-On waits for an appropriate resistance to be measured across the power pins before firing up Forced-On applies power all the time Please correct me if I'm wrong, MT, but as far as I know the MT 802.3af/at PSE implementation isn't fully-compliant & is just taking advantage of the fact that y...

Re: RB960 HEX Poe TEMPERATURE!

I have one of these that sits idle all day doing very little and is still showing 50C - i believe the reported temperature is the silicon die temp, not the actual chip. Don't worry about it.

Re: voltage on RB260GSP

System tab shows input voltage and temperature. Port tab shows current usage per-port.

I don't know if this is available over SNMP - if it is, LibreNMS (which I use) doesn't have support for the relevant OIDs.

hEX POE - no PoE In Long Cable option?

I have a hEX PoE unit (RB960PGS) that seems determined to detect short circuits on any/all cables I plug into it. Device is powered via a direct-plugged 48v 1A PSU, powering ~300mA worth of device (2x wifi radio devices). Device is on 6.39.1 (though issue was present on 6.39 also) After power-up, it...
