Re: CCR1072 watchdog reboot

Hi kos, I appreciate your prompt response. Just to confirm: - In your original testing you were using MikroTik /tool traffic-generator to generate the traffic or something else? - What size of the packets you were using for "1G bidirectional traffic" test? - Have you tried the same test ag...

Re: CCR1072 watchdog reboot

Reboot min requirements: - connection-tracking activated - clear routing between two interfaces - 1G bidirectional traffic, 600B packets (each interface handles 1G in each direction) If the packets are bigger (1500B): - ~2,5G bidirectional traffic If the traffic is mostly unidirectional: - ~2G unid...

Re: ccr1072 memory leak

Folks,

Is there any way to see memory allocation per process? For example, we can see CPU cycles per processes using "/tool profile cpu=total". Does MikroTik have the same for memory usage?

Re: Problem SNMP speed interface

Very good, but it would work only for MikroTik devices. We currently have multi-vendor environment.

I'm still looking for a confirmation made by someone from MikroTik about the current situation and plans on fixing it. MikroTik might have some newer version with the fix...

Thanks.

Re: Bandwidth Test Tool and RADIUS

Folks, We hit that issue today and figured out that "Bandwidth Test" tool works ONLY with locally created users which doesn't make any sense! To those who will be looking for a reason why they're getting the log message like that: echo: system, error, critical login failure for user XXX via ...

Re: How to disconnect active SSH or Winbox or TCP session

Folks, Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Add black-hole /32 route for unauthorized source IP . Well, as an ultimate solution that might work. Very good. /ip route add dst-address=1.2.3.4 type=blackhole Active sessions are visible under System/scripts/jobs. Terminate these job(s) which will termin...

Re: Problem SNMP speed interface

Folks, I have exactly the same issue with The Dude v6.40.5 (stable) and 10G interfaces on MikroTik CCR boxes with default polling interval. The Dude only uses the 32bit counters, ... That explains everything, but when we can expect that Dude software upgrade? I looked through dude_v6.xx_changelog an...

How to disconnect active SSH or Winbox or TCP session

Folks, I've been trying to find a way to disconnect active SSH or Winbox/Dude session to a router. For example, I deployed a MikroTik router and by accident left admin password as default (which is no password), then I logged in to a device and realized there's unknown SSH connection (unauthorized o...

Re: WinBox security?

Folks, Am I right that Winbox (and The Dude server) do NOT sent the password in clear text even if they use plain mode? I tried to Wireshark the traffic and was able to recognize username only. Just want to make sure they send the password in hash or some other secure way even if they use plain mode...

Folks,

+1 here.
Almost 10 years passed and it's still an issue. Why not to introduce an option to use PAP for Winbox?
Thank you!

Re: Attached: Mikrotik Visio Stencils

Hey Folks,

I tried to find a vector-type (not a photo) rack layout stencils (from and back side) of CCR1072 which is top-level router and I found NOTHING. Is it for real? It has to be something provided directly by MikroTik. Please point me to the right direction.

Thanks.

Re: Log all console commands [SOLVED]

Folks, I'd like to rise the question again. I see few similar questions ( 37069 , 62183 , etc) without an answer. I'm looking for a way to log/account issued commands and tried to enable "account" facility logging, but it didn't help much. 1. Is there any way in current RouterOS version to...

Re: Validity of MTCNA & MTCRE certifications

Thank you Steve for your thoughts, but it doesn't help me at all to understand re-certification procedure for MTCNA, MTCRE, MTCINE certs. Should I re-take all the classes again or just one MTCINE or just go somewhere and pass the test or series of tests and what would be the price?

Thanks.
