Re: Random Kernel Failure in Previous boot Log [SOLVED]

Thanks Strods,
I agree fully that the best way to figure it out is to contact Mikrotik Support. They were very helpful and even set up an exact lab on their end with my setup to find the issue.

Re: Random Kernel Failure in Previous boot Log [SOLVED]

In my specific setup at the time I was running RouterOS 6.40.1 and using NV2 with data rates configured. After talking with the support team it turned out I needed to leave the configured data rates to default. After that change there was no more random kernel failures. Also after talking with anoth...

Re: Default Forward Question

Is there is a way to have this forwarding unchecked by default when adding a CPE to an access list?

Default Forward Question

When I add a new CPE to the Access List default forward is always checked. If we forget to uncheck default forward it breaks every customer on the tower. I have default forward unchecked in the wireless interface hoping that would inherently leave it off when adding new CPE's. I know it's just a sim...

Re: Wireless link calculator updated

"Link is possible but high antenna tower is required" Please add AP and CPE height option! Would love to use but I find AirLink is way better since I can edit the height of both sides!

Re: mANTBox 19s dropping speed to zero

Why are you running 80211n? We have way better performance with NV2 you just have to set the CPE's to any protocol or NV2. By running NV2 you wont have the random laptops and cell phones trying to connect. Here's what we do different that you can try. Channel width set to 20MHz Protocol NV2 TDMA Per...

This is awesome!! But we need a way to manually enter in the height of the location for predicated tower links! any way we can get this feature?

Random Kernel Failure in Previous boot Log [SOLVED]

Hello, I'm having multiple devices logging random reboots and kernel failure in previous boot happening. Nothing is tied to a specific time or model of Mikrotik. I think whats happening is Watchdog is rebooting after a kernel panic or a system lockup and that's what is logging the kernel failure. Is...

Hello I was needing a wireless solution for a small heavy wooded community we have in our area with a customer count around 30. Currently we are using 3 sectors of the 5GHz mANTBox 19s for the customers with good line of sight and a Tranzeo 900MHz solution for everybody else that has a bad view of t...
