Re: What switch to use?

that's depends on what network speed do you want to design. In general, 1G and 10G network switch is perfect for home. Besides, you also need to consider the future network plan, so there is lots of things needing to be considered, stacking or chassis switch? one single switch or multiple distributi...

Re: MikroTik SFP+ DAC 1m cable - does it support 10G?

1G could not support 10G cable, but 10G can be used on 1G port.

Re: Mikrotik Switches Vs Cisco Switches

CRS326-24G-2S+RM is a good choice for 10G network switch. Cisco is good 2, but they are not so cost-effective...

Why is MikroTik's new product—S+RJ10 10GBASE-T module so cheap?

Hi, all. Recently, I am going to buy 10G SFP+ copper transceiver or 10G SFP+ DAC cable for my CRS226-24G-2S+RM. When I was looking through the webpages, and I occasionally found this https://mikrotik.com/product/s_rj10. It only needs $65. Comparing to the C2G, FS.COM, Amazon, which are around $300, ...

Re: Question about SC , APC UPC connectors

Yeah, SFP modules with LC connectors are PC. And UPC are more common used than APC.

Re: 10G switch with RJ45?

How many SFP+ ports do you need? I searched and found this: XS708Ev2: https://www.netgear.com/business/products/switches/web-managed/XS708Ev2.aspx#tab-techspecs (1 x SFP+ 1000/10GBASE-X fiber port) XS728T: https://www.netgear.com/business/products/switches/smart/XS728T.aspx#tab-techspecs (4 SFP+ 100...

Re: 10G switch with RJ45?

10G SFP+ optical modules with RJ45 port is related to copper modules, esp for 10GBASE-T. See this, http://www.fs.com/c/10g-sfp-plus-63?0-5-50m=2609. But the price is higher. For short link distance, you can try 10G DAC cable for connection, see this http://www.fs.com/c/10g-sfp-dac-1114.

Re: CRS317-1G-16S+RM: CWDM/DWDM SFP+ optics? [SOLVED]

yeah, CWDM/DWDM SFP+ optics would not work for CRS317-1G-16S+RM. But you can use S+2332LC10D for 10G network connection. Bidirectional SFP+ 10G module kit. Kit contains two SFP+ modules that can be used as pair to achieve operating data rate up to 10Gbps for distances up to 10km on single optical ca...

Re: FTTH distribution switch with 24sfp and 2-4 SFP+ ports

Fiber one definitely greater than copper one, they are more fast and steady. But the cost is higher too. When u look for SFP+ transceivers, you can choose the third party vendors. Some of them are trustful. I bought SFP+, 40G QSFP+ from FS serveral times, you can have a try. SFP+ transceivers: http:...

Re: Solving 20km wireless link issues

From my point, signal strength has nothing to do with interference. I would like to suggest pigtail, fiber patch cable, and fiber optic transceiver for you! You can take 40G optical transceiver for a try! At present, there are many such optical transceivers on the market, such as 40G QSFP+ LR4, ER4 ...
