Re: v7.1beta3 [development] is released!

Does v7 support RFC 3021 ? I can't find the information, if anyone can confirm thanks :)
We had issues using /31 subnets on 6.4x. Not sure if the problem still exists in 7.x betas. We had the ISP switch to /30 for the WAN block.

Re: v7.1beta2 [development] is released!

Looks like Mikrotik knows how to treat their employees, other companies would have rushed to push V7 into production as soon as possible.
Can't rush perfection! :) Glad they are taking their time to get it right.

Re: mangle and routing-mark can not work for RouterOS v7

THere are several problems with routing marks in beta5. Wait until beta6 is released.
Are we close to Beta6? Seems like a longer than usual run between Beta releases.

Re: V7B4 Upgrade Path Issue with Solution

I have successfully upgraded two Cloud Core Routers (1036 and 1016) from 6.46.2 to v7 B4. I also tested my RB750GR3, 6.46.2 to v7 B4. I have had some issues with going backwards / downgrading and that was v7 B3.

Eric

Re: RouterOS v7 Beta 3 - PPPOE WAN Intermittently Not Passing Traffic [SOLVED]

Znevna, Thank you for the fix. It worked like a charm! I upgraded back to v7 Beta 3, tested, applied the fix, and tested again. I think I need to read up on PPPOE and ISP usage a bit more, as I do not have a really good understanding of it. I know its a tunnel of sorts. Thanks again for the help. On...

RouterOS v7 Beta 3 - PPPOE WAN Intermittently Not Passing Traffic [SOLVED]

Hello All, I upgraded my Cloud Core 1016 from v6.45.7 to v7 Beta 3 and my PPPOE WAN started acting up. Oddly enough I can ping out, resolve DNS, but browsing is intermittent from client computers (whether on VLAN or not). Remote management of Mikrotik works fine and Remote Desktop or TeamViewer to a...

So, I'm releasing this for people to use and contribute to it. It's my approach to zone based firewalling (or ZBF) I've got this on a few routers in production (RB1100, hAP-Lite and CCR1009). For anyone that doesn't know, ZBF is a methodology to filter traffic based on the trustworthiness of an int...

Running the command: /export Hardware I tested against: RouterBOARD 750G r3 RouterBOARD wAP G-5HacT2HnD RouterBOARD cAP L-2nD The result I see in the print-out: #error exporting /system routerboard mode-button I'm pretty sure it's benign but just thought I'd post it. Re: Export seems to be broken? ROS 6.40rc38

Looks like this has been resolved with 6.40rc41. I am now able to export to a file and use that file with run after (reset system-configuration).

Eric

Re: Export seems to be broken? ROS 6.40rc38

The extension of an export should be .rsc and the one generated by the backup is called .backup. https://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:Configuration_Management#Command_Description Right, I understand that, but for some reason I cannot generate any export files after upgrading to 6.40.rc38. Under /f...

Export seems to be broken? ROS 6.40rc38

Hello, First time posting here. I just upgraded to 6.40rc38 and was trying to export to a file. For some reason it will not generate the file. /export file=backup2017 I then tried just /export and copied / pasted into a text doc, saved it as mikrotik07122017.txt, uploaded it to mikrotik, and tried t...
