Re: Severe port flapping on CRS328-24P-4S+ and CRS317-1G-16S+

Exact same problem here, but it is between any CRS317-1G-16S+. Have confirmed its present on ALL links between CRS317's, but not any link to any other device or switch. Initially I thought it was a cable fault, but we've changed cables, SFPs, etc. Same result. Once I found this thread we've come to ...

BGP not adveristing default route

Hi All We have 2 routers, both with a default route that speak BGP to each other (over multiple sessions, one for each link). Router A is advertising a default route to Router B and I can see that in my route table, but Router B doesn't appear to be advertising one back to Router A even though it ha...

Re: BFD shows as down, not transmitting

ARP entries were normal and traffic was passing over the link between the IPs.

I managed to fix this by ensuring the ALL interface was enabled and that the individual interfaces were explicitly specified for BFD.

Re: UKNOF 43 CVE

We are aware of this issue and are working on it. Oh... good.... only a year late. I can live with what I consider a priority and what Mikrotik considers a priority not aligning (read: multi threaded BGP etc). However, I cannot live with a known security problem being ignored for so long. Security ...

BFD shows as down, not transmitting

Hi All Just implementing BFD on two seperate connections between two routers. One works fine, however, the other doesn't seem to be even attempting to send Control packets. On both routers the second interface is shows a Transmit Packet count of 0: [admin@router1] > routing bfd neighbor pr detail Fl...

Re: Cisco style Q in Q tunnels

I've looked at this topic.
Using vlan interfaces loses hardware offloading on the CRS platform?

Cisco style Q in Q tunnels

Hi All We have a few CRS317 switches with the latest RouterOS which we're evaluating. I am trying to understand (but not having much luck) how to implement Cisco style Q-in-Q tunnels (ie: customer can send any vlan they want at us and we encapsulate it in our service provider vlan tag) without losin...

Re: VPLS and Customer VLANS

That's essentially what I'm trying to do, but I'm a bit lost on how.
Does anyone have a working example I can have a look at?

VPLS and Customer VLANS

Hi All Leaning VPLS on Mikrotik and can't seem to understand how we might implement customer VLANs over a VPLS service. For example, I want to create a VPLS connection between two sites, bridge the VPLS service to an Ethernet port on my PE, and then allow my customer to send me traffic on any VLAN t...

Re: VLAN Trunk without knowing/cofiguring all VLANS

That is EXACTLY what we're looking to achieve. Is this just a Cisco thing?

interface TenGigabitEthernet1/1/3
 switchport mode trunk
 device-tracking attach-policy trunk
 ip dhcp snooping trust
end

VLAN Trunk without knowing/cofiguring all VLANS

Hi There I'm really struggling to work out how to implement the attached VLAN setup: Capture1.PNG Essentially I'm need to take any VLANS i receive on one port on a CRS317 and send them to a CCR1009 and send them all out a seperate port. I realise this is Q-in-Q which I can use, however, I dont alway...

Q-in-Q Documentation Out of Date?

Hi All I'm just playing with a couple of CRS317 switches using Router OS 6.42.6 and trying to setup some Q-in-Q stuff using this documentation: https://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:CRS1xx/2xx_series_switches_examples#VLAN_Tunneling_.28Q-in-Q.29 Seems there is an change here, because I get the follo...

Basic BGP improvements in ROS 6

Can't we have some basic improvements to BGP in router OS 6, rather than waiting on the mythical v7?

- Commands like ip route print where... way too slow
- Multi-thread BGP

Re: Remove non-private AS from incoming prefix or the the outgoing peer

I haven't managed to find a solution to this so we've had the IX accept the additional ASN in the bgp path.... they weren't happy about it.

I'm sure I must be missing some simple setting that will make this work the way I want?

Remove non-private AS from incoming prefix or the the outgoing peer

Hi All I'm not sure how to handle this... we have 2 ASNs... both public... ASN-A and ASN-B that are on different networks and Mikrotik Routers. Both advertise some prefixes to the internet. They also advertise their prefixes between each other over a local bilateral peering session. The Mikrotik wit...
