Re: Cracked cover on RouterBOARD DISC Lite5

Just came to post the Mikrotik dont care about this issue and have no respect for the end user, reseller and most importantly for themselves.

This conclusion has come from the email correspondence I have had with support regarding these.

Way to go Mikrotik ...........

Re: Lite5 AC - hardware fault or manufacturing fault ??

OK so I 'repaired' these devices by removing the four SMDs and soldering a wire from ground to one of the left side pads of one of the the SMDs (lower left). I cannot find out exactly what these SMDs are to purchase replacements to test. Can anybody with electronic expertise comment on what job thes...

Re: Cracked cover on RouterBOARD DISC Lite5

What a mess! Fortunately we did not deploy so many of these. Our situation is as follows, We are a reseller, we buy from a distributor in our country (Cyprus, EU). We have received several of these 'broken' in transit. The cracks are around the edges of the front cover. Our distributor, wont refund ...

Re: Lite5 AC - hardware fault or manufacturing fault ??

So, hopefully the fix I have applied remains, If this is the case then there would be a high probability that this is either a design issue or a bad SMD component issue. Basically on the two Lite5 AC I worked on the four small SMD regulators below the main IC (see picture below). https://i.imgur.com...

Lite5 AC - hardware fault or manufacturing fault ??

Hi, couple of days ago had a second Lite5 AC (RouterBOARD SXT 5HacD 2n r2) die with some type of hardware failure. Both of them died in similar circumstances. They first start to sporadically connect/disconnect until one day they have difficulty in powering up at all. Both devices were grounded with...

Re: How is this 'attack' possible ?

Only by bigger force... Or negotiate with the neighbor to stop that. None has exclusive right for ssid or Mac address number. At least until you registrate some word as trademark. Then you can maybe suit your neighbor for misusing your intellectual property... Very hard, complicated and not enough ...
