Device file upload through MAC app connection fails

Hi, Due to my setup with a combination of devices, I connect to one of them (LHG) through the Android app with a MAC connection. This avoids me having to change cables and settings to connect to it though a more 'normal' way. The device itself does not have a direct internet connection. To be able t...

Re: LHG connections unstable

After digging some more, it looks like I found the cause: having vlan10-man on eth1, with both eth1 and the vlan being a bridge port . I will do some more testing, but so far it looks like taking eth1 out of the bridge config fixes the problem. I need eth1 as a bridge port as well though, with this ...

LHG connections unstable

After trying hAP ax3 + wAP R passthrough , I switched the wAP for a LHG with R11e-LTE modem. Internet speed has almost tripled with the directional antenna, which is a much appreciated improvement. The connection is, however, unstable to say the least. It works, but with drops happening often and in...

Re: wAP + hAP ax3 LTE passthrough, IP address but no ping/internet

*EDIT* And just like that it looks like I have my answer: https://help.mikrotik.com/docs/display/ROS/Peripherals My modem has "NO" for passthrough support... I'd still recommend just not using passthrough, but... I'm not sure I 100% trust that – although your results do seem to indicate t...

Re: wAP + hAP ax3 LTE passthrough, IP address but no ping/internet

The fact that passthrough is supposed to work for the ME909s-102 but not for the ME909u-521: does this happen to have anything to do with the at-chat subnet mask to /32 config, as described in the Mikrotik docs? If so, is it safe to try this for the ME909u-521 as well?

Re: wAP + hAP ax3 LTE passthrough, IP address but no ping/internet

Thanks again for your reply @dad2312. This time, to make sure I didn't overlook something, I did reset the wAP without a default config. Unfortunately I keep ending up with the same result. An IP Address from the provider but no internet that's working. Pings keep timing out and the host remains unr...

Re: wAP + hAP ax3 LTE passthrough, IP address but no ping/internet

By now I tried the following three combinations, each of them should be working, but none of them are on my devices: 1. vlan10-net for passthrough + vlan20-man for management 2. vlan20-man for management + eth1 for passthrough 3. vlan10-net for passthrough + eth1 for management In all cases I get an...

Re: wAP + hAP ax3 LTE passthrough, IP address but no ping/internet

I did notice, however, that obtaining an address from the provider is not always "stable". Be it on eth1 directly or the net vlan. During all the config changes, resets and reboots it sometimes remained on "searching" for example. At first I thought I had to fix a passthrough mac...

Re: wAP + hAP ax3 LTE passthrough, IP address but no ping/internet

Thank you for your reply @dad2312. I've seen that setup in a different tutorial as well, but because the video shows it working with two vlan's I figured that would be the recommended way. I tried your suggestion with one exception: I replaced the net vlan with eth1 in the hAP's WAN list. Otherwise ...

Re: wAP + hAP ax3 LTE passthrough, IP address but no ping/internet

Just in case I disabled all firewall rules (wAP and hAP), but it doesn't fix the issue. I also performed an offline update from 7.8 to 7.10 yet still no luck. When I perform the ping I get the following as a result, where the "host unreachable" IP address is the address obtained from the p...

wAP + hAP ax3 LTE passthrough, IP address but no ping/internet

Hi, I'm in the process of restructuring my home network but I'm already stuck at the first step for no obvious reason. I want to set up LTE passthrough from a wAP to a hAP ax3. The steps I took come down to basically what's been explained in the Mikrotik video: https://youtu.be/IZFAeLbujso With pass...

Re: Feature request: Make Quickset to be separate package

"Quickset is a simple configuration wizard page that prepares your router in a few clicks." All nice and well, but this is something you only do once when setting up a device. More than 75% of what is shown on that page is what you do not want to touch any more afterwards. The page should...

But if we are talking about new products I'd be much more interested in a directional LTE antenna-only product. At the moment you only have an omni-directional LTE antenna-only product. https://mikrotik.com/product/sxt_r https://mikrotik.com/product/rblhgr https://mikrotik.com/product/ldf_lte6_kit ...

wAP R + R11e-LTE6

Hi, At the moment I have a wAP R with a cat 4 miniPCIe Huawei modem. On the wAP R product page only the R11e-LTE modem is listed as related product. Would the new R11e-LTE6 modem be a suitable drop-in replacement for the existing wAP R modem? As the design of the wAP ac LTE6 kit appears to be the sa...

Re: hAP AC + wAP R

Still being stuck with no internet connection on the combined network I feel that there are two things missing but I can't find a way to solve it: Internet requests are being routed to 192.168.1.1 (hAP's IP) and from there it can't find its way to the lte1 interface on the wAP. How should this link ...

Thanks for your advice. The two responses are two extremes, how can that be? I forgot the add that I will be connecting the wAP R with the hAP AC with an Ethernet cable. The internet connection is obtained by a mini-PCIe card in the wAP R. Examples I found for configuring multiple devices with an ac...

wAP LTE R + Huawei ME909u-521 is no succes

Hi, I've received my wAP LTE R + Huawei ME909u-521, but so far I've not been able to enjoy it. The initial firmware, of which I neglected to note the version number, gave me the same result with two different SIM cards of two different providers: they were able to find find an operator, but gave me ...

Re: Feature request: OpenVPN compression LZO and UDP

No UDP, no LZO and no SHA2 (SHA512) authentication and not a single response from MikroTik what so ever... It basically means I can't use OpenVPN. Creating a tunnel on each device behind the router is not an option, not to mention highly impractical. Adding a device to create a tunnel before the rou...

I forgot to add that it's a Huawei e3372 dongle that I'm using and I'm on RouterOS v6.40.1.
For the rest it's basically still an out-of-the-box configuration with the exception of setting a WiFi password and changing the default IP address and DHCP range.
