Switch / Bridge setup possible traffic issues CRS328-24P-4S+

Hello, We've got a few CRS328-24P-4S+ switches running with the Bridge Interface being used for the hardware offloading and switch setup. Recent firmware updates have addressed various issues with traffic dropping on the switch but we still have an issue with BBC iPlayer streaming service. The servi...

Re: OSPF & PPPoE - strange issue

Just to update on this.... The issue was with OSPF An area range statement was used to advertise a /29 range and the PPPoE interfaces use a /32 address each. This is standard setup I believe so you can advertise 1 subnet rather than get /32 updates around the network every time a pppoe session comes...

OSPF & PPPoE - strange issue

Hello, I have a strange OSPF & PPPoE issue that started yesterday. We have 1 PPPoE client on a router that is assigned a single static public IP and this has been working fine for 2-3 months. Yesterday, it stopped working in that the PPPoE client still connects but immediately above the route entry ...

Router with Bridge Interface Linked to 2 switches

Hello, I have a RB2011 with Ether 1 linked to switch A (port 24), Ether 2 is linked to switch B (port 24). The switches (Cisco) are linked together via Port 23 on each switch). I have Vlans (10,20,30) on bother ether interfaces in a bridge for each vlan i.e. Bridge10 has vlans 10 from Ether 1 and Et...

Re: PPPoE best use of public IPs [SOLVED]

Hi Pukkita, Thanks for the info. Yes, we run OSPF between all relay sites. So I could just pick one of my public IP addresses and use this as the "local-address" on all the PPPoE servers at each relay? The local-adderss doesn't actually serve any routing function? Thanks for the quick reply. MM99

PPPoE best use of public IPs [SOLVED]

Hello - hopefully a straight forward one.... We have several relay sites that have wireless access points with CPE connected. Some of the CPE (but not all) want a static IP. I am doing this with PPPoE and running PPPoE at each relay rather than centrally (I have reasons for doing it like this). I ha...
