mikrotik LHG XL HP5 oid different

I have some LHG 5HPnD-XL radios out in the field. I am setting up snmp in Sonar and have came account some of the devices where the oids are not the same in the the wireless registration table for these devices. Same exact model but the oid info is different. Has anybody else came across this?

Metal 9 and XR9

We have a few areas that are very tree heavy. We have some Metal 9 Aps in these areas. Since Mikrotik has discontinued the Metal 9 we got some Ubiquiti XR9s in. I have been unable to make it connect to a Metal 9. Does anybody know if these are compatible? Or what we could be doing wrong?

Fiber Installation on Tower

Has anyone here ever ran fiber up about 300 feet on a tower? This is something I am looking at doing and would love to get some advice on how to run the fiber up the cable. Just a little uncertain about how to get all connectors hooked up on the tower.

This spectral scan shows what I am talking about. If you look you can see where I turned off the APs on channel 1 and 11 off and then turned them back on. You can see how far outside the range they are going. And how much of a change there is on channel 6.

I am not using dhcp. We are doing pppoe. I changed 11 to 9 and I am still seeing the same problem. With one sector on ping times and connection looks good. Turn the other 2 back on it get weak again. No these are 3 separate boards. One board per sector. Units are in metal cases. To me it is obvious that they are somehow interfering with each other but this used to not be the case and correct me if I am wrong but being on channel 1, 6 and 11 should not be interfering with each other like this.

If I were you I would go with the highest 711 board or a 411AH with your wireless card of choice. We are in the process of separating all our units into one card per board. Network just seems to run better that way.

Dallas....I see you talk a lot about a -70 signal. What is your noise floor? I have heard in the past to have a better then 20 snr. Some of my repeaters have noise floor of -100 give or take a few. So I can have a -75 signal with a snr of 25. Just trying to gauge what I should go be more.

I have problem that appears to be happening on more than 1 of my ap's. We have ap's at houses. The person at the house is hooked to the eth port and then we have an omni antenna providing service to customers. The eth port and wireless port are bridged. I don't think so....we have been having morning temps around 20 to 30F and highs in the 50's. Can interference cause a signal to do that. I thought I would see it on the noise floor if it was interference.

Not sure but this was happening to many of my clients. But I bet you are right that it was some kind of interference. Apparently the RTS CTS is supposed to help out with hidden nodes.

I ended up putting 3.30 on all clients but that didn't help. I put the wireless test package on all the clients and the AP and set rts cts on all the clients and that has seemed to help. I have been seeing conflicting advice on the forum as to turn that on the AP or not. Do you know what would be be...

Thanks...I will try some of that after the Holiday. The only thing I worry about is some of my clients are on a RB133c and have noticed that winbox sometimes won't load on those boards when they are upgraded to version 3. Looks like it starts running out of memory when I try to load winbox.

They are both Atheros 5213 400 mW cards. Both are using omni antennas to work. They are only about .25 miles apart. This is in a neigborhood with trees. We have about 5 or 6 AP's here to get good coverage. But this signal between them is good with a great CCQ.
