Re: New sniffer barely usable

I figured out how to eliminate the "port" setting. You have to use "edit" and then erase it.

You cannot "set" it to empty, but you can "edit" it to empty. Go figure.

New sniffer barely usable

I could get the old sniffer to do almost anything, but the sniffer in 5.8 is totally different. There is no way to unspecify a port selection. "set filter=port=0-65535" is an error. "set filter-port=default" is an error. "set filter-port=" leaves it set as currently set...

Re: DHCP Relay Issue with Pseudo-bridge

Unfortunately, about 1/2 of our CPEs are not Mikrotiks, so until then, is there any kind of work around on the AP? We've used various different pseudo-bridge CPEs, mostly plug-and-play. They have all been able to let DHCP traffic flow through in a workable way. That includes when we had a main MT D...

Use relay to get through pseudo-bridge

What a nice explanation you have provided! :)

I see the same issue. In log files, it looks like an endless loop: DISCOVER, OFFER, DISCOVER,OFFER,... because the OFFER never reaches the endpoint.

I just set up the MTCPE to act as a DHCP relay and now the dhcp service works.

I don't get it

1. configure sniffer to stream to device running wireshark: /tool sniffer set streaming-enabled=yes streaming-server=ip.of.wireshark.box /tool sniffer start 2. make sure you accept UDP in wireshark (as TZSP uses UDP to transport data) 3. if you are streaming wireless sniffer captures (interface wir...

Re: RoS 2.9.45 for RB5xx - Routing Test Package Missing

The routing-test package seems to be missing from the RB5xx packages, why, it's in the x86 packages?
I had the same problem. I downloaded the current "Combined RouterOS package" and it had the routing-test in it. I guess the "routing-test" is omitted from some distributions.

Re: poor wireless throughput

We are testing a 112 and can only get around 0.5 Mbps. The AP is a 532 which gives decent throughput to other clients. Atheros chipsets in AP and in 112. We tried b and g modes. SNR is 30. We also tried using a linksys wireless router at close range as an AP, with the same result: lousy throughput....

Re: Warranty

Hi There is warranty an MK must solve the problem! Regards Vincenzo My experience has been that neither Mikrotik nor its resellers will honor the warranty in the case of defective hardware. I would totally disagree with this, as a reseller we always honour warranties for defective hardware, and I h...
