Re: End-of-Sale and End-of-Life of TILE-based CCR [SOLVED]

Unfortunately, CCR2xxx cannot run RouterOS v6 and we cannot use RouterOS v7 due to the lack of BFD support.
Interesting times ahead...
Sounds like it's time for whitebox Vyos! :o

Re: End-of-Sale and End-of-Life of TILE-based CCR [SOLVED]

Most of ours die from uncontrollable environmental issues. 99% of the time the bootloader is stuck in a loop, prob a corrupt MMC. Also where we are there's no real repair option for them, especially if they're stuck in a kernel panic boot loop. Netinstall usually doesn't save them from that in our c...

Re: End-of-Sale and End-of-Life of TILE-based CCR [SOLVED]

Yes, we plan ahead, especially with having a couple hundred router devices in service. However those devices die at the hardware level and if everyone else is "planning ahead" then there will inevitably be a shortage or none at all. So in the interest of planning ahead, I would really like...

Re: End-of-Sale and End-of-Life of TILE-based CCR [SOLVED]

End-of-sale might indeed be closing fast. However EOL/End-of-support is a very different thing in Mikrotik world (at least it used to be until now) and I expect it's still many years away. If MT was to EOL their CCR1xxx family, I don't think they'd bother making ROS v7 for that platform. This is tr...

Re: End-of-Sale and End-of-Life of TILE-based CCR [SOLVED]

I also would like to know when the EOL for CCR 1072/1036's is. We have a couple hundred of them in production and some are at their end. We've replaced some with our own stock, however the question remains, will there still be some to purchase or should we be considering the CCR ARM replacement? Thi...

Re: Radius management vrf

I just foresee that when a properly completed VRF config allows for real management isolation that I myself would not want to rebuild 100+ configs to accommodate that, since I currently have a greenfield project in the works. Seeing as we've all waited over many years for the glorious version 7, I g...

Re: Radius management vrf

Seems to me after numerous years of working on Ros 7 there would be an incentive for Mikrotik to at least get management VRF's working correctly. I mean you can VRF the IP services (ssh, www, winbox etc) why not RADIUS? Who would want their RADIUS to go out over non private addresses :O At the very ...

Re: v6.49.2 [stable] is released!

I think the wording is a bit misleading here, but probably you see what's expected. The number of max entries depends on your installed RAM. Currently you have 3888 items with a maximum of 1048576. This is hardly an issue, no? If it is you have to add more RAM I guess. There's nothing misleading ab...

Re: v6.45.2 [stable] is released!

My CCR1009-7G-1C after upgraded to 6.45.x, it rebooted every night.
The logs says
"router was rebooted without proper shutdown, probaly kernel failure.
Kernel failure in previous boot."

Any solutions?
Welcome to the club! No fix afaik.

Dear Mikrotik, When are you going to start testing your releases? I'm guessing never, since that would be a huge workflow change internally. When I see this in the patch notes "*) ospf - fixed possible busy loop condition when accessing OSPF LSAs;" and my routers are experiencing that prob...

Hi Martin,

Glad to hear that works for you!.

I break the code up like that to keep repetition down, just in case something needs to change there's a single place to change it.

Cheers,

Hi Martin, This sounds like a job for dynamic scripting. It's a bit more advanced, however it looks like it can be used to solve your problem. Please be careful of the spaces at the end of the strings, they are required. Make sure to replace the default-name of your wireless interface if it's differ...

how do you call the Functions* after running this script? Do I have to use
 /system script run "Functions"
or there is another fancy way( for ex.
:local testfunc $Functions
)
I have some examples of that here viewtopic.php?f=9&t=40507#p627016

Hi, First off I'm going to make some presumptions about your environment since you haven't specified model numbers or OS versions. Your diagram #2 shows some weird addressing, that doesn't match with the config given, again I'll presume it's a typo. When attempting to do what you want from a router,...
