Re: Feature requests

Features Request! a. Winbox, lets suppose we want to remove 5 columns and add 6 more. That would require to do 11 times the same thing since the list closes every time. Wouldn't it be easier (for the users not the programmer!) to have check box in front of every option, so as to check-uncheck whatev...

I've setup a CCR1009 for a customers, running a VLAN for two APs (Unifi) and run a hotspot on the CCR. for a strange reason which i have not found yet, all customers can connect to the wireless, the login page...

Hotspot without internet

Good evening i am trying for long time to setup a hotspot that will work without the use of internet. Something like an info kiosk, when connected there will be a popup and the given page will open. When the device is connected to the internet, everything works fine. If there is no internet (when fi...

Re: Hotspot Status Page not Popup

use the DNS Name you created while setting up the hotspot using ip-->hotspot-->server profiles, open your server profile and check the DNS Name that you used. After that, just try opening that name from a hotspot client (no http:// needed) for status or dsnname/logout to immediately log out For exam...

Re: Help! Beginner

you have an IP address in eth2 but all 2-5 plus wifi are in the bridge, try removing the IP from the eth and add it to the bridge. That would work if you had the ports 3-4-5-wlan1 as slaves to 2, using a bridge you should use the ip on the bridge, not the port

Re: Help! Beginner

Even more obvious question. Still using the factory configuration? have you tried disabling the rules (dunno remember if and what kind of rules it has) and try to connect again? maybe your printers have static IPs and your computer gets an IP from DHCP so there is no connection? Check your IPs and p...

Re: Internet connection drops

Could you send the config so as to see what's going on? also provide the WAN config, either using PPPoE (if having a modem) or if you just use is as a client on another router. It's a simple setup and as far as i see you cant even see the MT after a while, not only download

Re: point to point wireless bridge setup

I suppose you connect them both with ethernet cables, program them and after a while, no connection, right? maybe at the same time parts of your LAN drop, too? What i usually do is, ping (command prompt) both of them at the same time, program them and then remove one of the ethernet cables, if its s...

Re: gateway router config failure, DHCP clients do not get addresses, DNS doesn't work properly [SOLVED]

i dont know if the commands in export and winbox are in the same order so i cant tell something about the current config, yet you should know that when a packet arrives in Firewall, ALL rules are checked in order so its good to see what's going on at your firewall...for example, if you have a drop f...

yeap, i already thought of it but the AP would act like an "advertising point", so they dont want to have something like and extra page/button, just directly to the landing page. Yet, its another quest for me and i wanna solve it, even if they dont use it :) still trying to see what is goi...

Re: gateway router config failure, DHCP clients do not get addresses, DNS doesn't work properly [SOLVED]

i would suggest you to disable the rules and enable them one by one, so as to see what is going on. maybe there is a problem with a param but i am currently away from my lab to reproduce your setup and check what is going on :-/

Redirect users to specific URL after connecting to WiFi

Good evening people! i want to do the following scenario. Imagine having an Access Point used for advertising purposes only (using an external web-page for the content). I want the users to connect to the free WiFi, then it will redirect them to the external web-page. I tried doing it using a hotspo...

Re: Configurate 2 Server to different mikrotik.

New to routing here, not pretty sure about that as i have never tried that but i suppose that you can set 1 route for each router and connect your devices (and lans) Lets suppose you have them both connected to ether5. Set and ip on both ports (10.3.3.5 and 192.168.19.5 lets say), connect them throu...

I tried a while ago redirecting the requests to my MT (testing some FW rules) and managed to see the login although i asked for a different...

you are missing a "sub-menu"... it should be " /interface l2tp-server server " so as to see the server sub-menu. Imagine like going to interface --> l2tp-server --> server. [aslint1@aslint] /interface l2tp-server server > set enabled=yes as i can see you are trying to enable it a...

Re: gateway router config failure, DHCP clients do not get addresses, DNS doesn't work properly [SOLVED]

I dont think so, i just had a idea, in a different menu or ROS if you specify 2 "states" with a comma it waits for both the states to appear (like in connection state, if you have "related, established" it waits for a connection which is related AND established. If you want to fil...

Have you tried using different rules per port on your firewall, something like add action=accept chain=input comment=" Allow DHCP and DNS UDP" dst-port=53 in-interface=Eth5_LAN protocol=udp add action=accept chain=input comment=" Allow DHCP and DNS UDP" dst-port=67 in-interface=E...

Hey, good evening!
Have you figured out what was the problem or still no luck? Can you upload a recent export of the config to check it, too?
