I am using RouterOS 2.9.51, and am thinking about upgrading to RouterOS 3.12 Has anyone had any issues with RouterOS 3.12? Is there anything that RouterOS 2.9.51 can do that RouterOS 3.12 can’t? Is there any reason why I should stay with RouterOS 2.9.51 at this point? Are there any potential problem...

Re: setting TX Power

I haven’t used 5.8 GHz before, and wonder if I would get the same distance as I currently do with 2.4 GHz. I have heard that 900MHz would provide greater distance. What are your thoughts? I guess I could also try using a different polarity in the 2.4 GHz

That looks like a great one, but I’m concerned that I have placed it in the wrong place in my firewall rules! I’m not even confident that any of my rules are in the correct order! I might have to resort to having to pay someone to look it over, unless someone here would be willing to look it over to...

Re: limiting bandwidth according to time of day

Thank you janisk for providing the link to the information. You stated that in version 3.0 the time zone bug was solved. I take it that in earlyer ver that this bug would keep such a setup as limitting bandwidth according to time of day from working? I am using 2.9.48, Is 3.0 ready or should I wait ...

Will this work?

/ ip firewall filter
add chain=known_viruses action=drop src-address=10.10.0.33 dst-address=10.10.0.33 src-port=25 dst-port=25

Does it matter where it is located in the list of my other firewall rules?

I have setup some simple queues in my 532a and I see an icon of some kind next to the queues in my list, most the time these little icons are green but from time to time I see them turn yellow or red, does anyone know what it means when this happens?
