WHY oh WHY... PoE in/out on the same port + new product request

Hello MikroTik team, is there any reason why are you doing PoE in/out at the same port on ax devices? For example hAP ax2 and hAP ax3 has this IMHO "most stupid idea ever" Is there any technical (not economic) reason for that? If it's purely for economical reason, what's would be the price...

Hello all,

does anyone of you have SFP S-31DLC20D running in hEX PoE?
I tried to use this SFP in hEX PoE, unfortunately it never worked (at least for me).
Same SFP worked OK in hAP AC, but never in hEX PoE.

Re: Question About DynaDish 5 low bandwidth

Try to change wireless to 802.11 and do the test again. Anyway, it is not the best idea to make conclusions based on built-in bandwidth test. Try with some gear behind the DynaDish (PC/laptop) connected directly to antenna using cable and use iPerf - it is free and available for Linux, Windows and m...

Well, my preferred way was to avoid writing some scripts for that, but if there is no other way, I have to do that :)
It will take some time, definitely, but it can't stop me.

Re: Reset counters - no way or bug in WinBox?

I don't, I have better ISP without limits. :) Sometimes you don´t have a choice... On the other hand, if YOU are an ISP, how do you do statistics which user is (potentially) abusing your network or infected by virus? Counters can help in these situations... Relying just on router's interface counte...

Re: Reset counters - no way or bug in WinBox?

Did you consider the possibility that you might just be one of the few people in the world who would want to reset these counters? Yes, but seems stupid that low-cost D-Link routers can do this without any issues and MikroTik can´t, LOL Well, then tell me how do you count your TX/RX data if you hav...

Reset counters - no way or bug in WinBox?

Hello anyone, could anyone please advise how to reset counters on interfaces in main interface screen (after login via WinBox and clicking on Interfaces)? I am running on 6.41.2 (stable) on multiple devices: hAP ac Lite, RB2011UiAS-2HnD, RB951G-2HnD but I do not see any option in WinBox 3.12 to rese...

Re: Any chance to see NV3?

I am very sad to say it, but Nv2 looks dead to me and there is no official timeline for any improvements. Maybe it's time to move on from MikroTik to other, more flexible vendors... The one and only responsible for this is MikroTik with their behavior - but if they don't care, why should we stay wit...

Re: how to access mikrotik from internet

You need to know what is your public IP address, based on the diagram you provided it should be 172.X.X.X, but you can check it on www.wimi.com This is your remote IP. In remote port an IP use this: IP address: 172.X.X.X Port start:8291 Port end: 8291 In Local port and IP use this: IP address 192.16...

I vote that we make new forum topic with alert to all new buyers informing them that mikrotik does not work correctly in 2.4ghz spectrum. And with regular bumping we should keep it on top of forum. I fully support this idea :) MikroTik has to wake up and stop ignoring customer complains and blaming...

Re: Xiaomi phone low Wifi TX rate [SOLVED]

Normis, any update to this? When we can expect to be fixed? It is a shame that vendor's (MikroTik) advice is to use higher-class phones. Why are you making devices (like hAP ac Lite = epic fail - ac on wireless, but only 100M ethernet) for SOHO users if you are not able to fix the issues promptly? M...

Re: Which MikroTik product for short PtP link?

Sorry, I have checked the National Frequency Table and found there is also 24.15 - 24.25 GHz; available and also 61 - 61.5 GHz. I assume that price for these devices will be much higher than for 2.4/5 GHz, or am I wrong? Regarding number of WiFi networks, I can see about 25-30 networks on R52 card w...

Re: Which MikroTik product for short PtP link?

It is not possible make 500Mbit link in noisy environment. As others have said. You'll be glad if you do 100-200Mbps half duplex connection. SXT is not suitable for a noisy environment. It is completely plastic. Which frequencies are free (without licence) in your country? 10, 17, 24, 60 or 80Ghz? ...

Re: OSFP need hint.

Hello,

I am not an OSPF guru, so my proposed solution may be incorrect, but here is my idea how this could be done:

1) configure OSPF on all interfaces on R1 so it can make a neighbourships with R2, R3 and R4
2) use out-filter to allow only networks you want to be advertised to R2, R3, R4
