The real reason we need a spectral history is to is to see if we need to move our backhaul or AP antenna away from the interference.

Well, I know one thing for sure. Mikrotik will have a surprise for us. The new 6.37 has super fast wireless. With only 2 chains I can put 1 connection tcp at 300Mbps. Udp is over 400Mbps. This is a four-mile link. Nice work mikrotik.

Lets say you had a 5ghz radio module with a/n. If you using 1x1 siso then it talks to each user one at a time. Each user has its very own data rate. One customers is 150mbps and the other is maybe 24Mbps. If your using 2x2. You can talk to two users at the exact moment at any data rate.

yeah looking at CCQ is a little more accurate than noise floor. Spectral-history is the best. I can do a spectal-history when someone is on the tower turns stuff on or off. Or just simply moving something. Thats why this is so important. I can make ever AC link get maximum throughput.

from my experience putting up more links is its interference. Change channel until its faster. Dont use any protocol except nstreme. Nstreme is the only protocol that can pass traffic through the radio at high speeds. 802.11 can pass way faster than nstreme but only wlan to wlan. Not through the unit.

As you see below. I have pppoe routes. This router is in a specific area called area15. Its a stub area. So the backbone isnt directly connected. I am injecting the LSAs to this area. So I get the default route. I dont want every pppoe session distrubuted to the backbone. I want only the 10.51.17.0/...

I believe I got it to work. On the ABR router. You must setup a /rout ospf network to the backbone. Thats it. Then the 2nd area will get a default route. Will do some more testing and learning.

Thats a part of a wisp. As the customers grow. You have to upgrade the equipment. I climb 3-5 towers a day non stop. We grow 15-20 new customers a week. So as soon as I put it up. Its outdated. Thats why I am using airfiber. I just keep making shorter links. Which means more bandwidth.

Yeah we keep on buying more airfibers. We also keep making them shorter distances too. Right now we are passing over 200mbps tcp of real world traffic. RB2011s are not keeping up so we moved to the rb1100ahx2. We want to use 802.11ac so we can use longer links at the same speed.

It isn't quite that simple. You need to recognize that the CPE is down. Then you need to redirect all DNS to it so it can serve as a resolver, and it needs to resolve all requests to itself via a wild card. Then it needs to either have a proxy that really listens to the request and instead fetches ...

If you have other aps that are on the same channel and your signal that you recieve is -40. They will interfere with your ap no matter how good the software is. Your only option would be to use gps sync. Your ap and their ap would have to both use that feature. Then you get no interference.

Re: MT guys any chance you will be fixing the disconnects so

The ap keeps track of disconnects. The aps don't reset. My client load a new config at midnight. I am able to keep track. I am not saying I don't. Have disconnects. Because I do have some. 802.11does have same issues. The best way to stop disconnects is diversity with wireless n.

Re: Mikrotik POE output on all ports. Which product?

I found the new product:

RB750UP
- Same as regular RB750
+ USB port
+ 24V Power Output on four ports
* Controllable PoE out
* SNMP support
* Voltage and current monitors
+ Can power PoE capable devices
+ Less cables and PoE injectors

When is this product purchasable?

Mikrotik when are you going to be coming out with a switch is POE output on all ports? I want my whole network to use this product. Wasn't there going to be a RB750up product that would do this? The main question is, will this come out this year?

Re: NV2 Sync Support

I believe Mikrotik has done a very good job on ap to clients and there really is no reason why they can't. My opinion is there ap to client is more powerful than any other manufacture. You just need to know how to set it up right. If you do that, its very powerful.

Re: NV2 Sync Support

Just dont paint it in the front of the antenna. Every time you put on a layer. It doubles the shielding. Paint right to the ground of the antenna. You know right where the N connector is. Because that is your ground of the antenna. Then make sure that is grounded. Thats it.

use the Y shield from lessemf.com. Install on the sides and back of antenna. So the rf cant blast over to the other antenna. Grounding this shield is required.

If you uses shielded cable. Its does not shield unless it is grounded. You can use shielded rj45 ends. Then if you poe supports grounding, it will shield.

You can also use spatial diversity like this. Use 2 chains for rx and tx on each side and 2 spatial streams. Doing this, you will have diversity. Each spatial stream will choose which antenna to receive. The diversity picks the best signal that is received on each antenna. But you will not have redu...

Agree. On legacy modes more test are needed. The second half of bits will be lost? So several retries at the good c...

If you have 2 spatial streams. Then it will some some bits over 1 chain and the other chains gets the ...
