Re: Gitlab for container hosting?

Could you better explain part 1? Are you suggesting i use a newer version of the routeros? I am building only for arm/v7. The container is being deployed to a hapac2. When i tar up the container and upload it manually, i do not have an issue. I am curious if it is some sort of authentication issue. ...

Gitlab for container hosting?

Hello, Has anyone had any success with using gitlab for private container hosting for mikrotik? I am constantly getting 401 errors and unable to retrieve manfiest and configuration errors. I have tested credentials locally and on separate workstations and all seem to work. I also have noticed that t...

Re: Support for ACME/Let's Encrypt certificate management [SOLVED]

Current LE client in RouterOS is good as technology preview, but final version needs different approach, not just single-purpose LE client, but universal ACME client. For start, support for multiple certificates: And the beauty of it is that it's not difficult, almost everything is there already, i...

Re: Bypassing AT&T Residential Gateways with MikroTik

It appears there is a much better bypass now using your own GPON generic stick like this FS branded GPON-ONU-34-20BI module. The generic module will not use OMCI extensions that enable 802.1x authentication. Per the link, you do need to match the OMCI version (0xA0), ONT Hardware version, ONT Softw...

!) dot1x - added support for IEEE 802.1X Port-Based Network Access Control (CLI only);

I hope I can use this to authenticate to AT&T fiber services directly. I'll need a certificate, but that's obtainable.
Oh man, that would be awesome!

Re: Anybody ues AT&T Gigabit Fiber with Mikrotik RouterOS?

Well was able to get mine going pretty easily on the RB3011. I am getting 900+ speeds, though it is taxing the CPU pretty hard. Would be awesome if we got VLAN/BONDING hw-offload in the furture. My steps were pretty simple. Kept my current Firewall configuration, which has fasttrak on the top and a ...

Re: HAP AC2 PERFORMANCE NUMBERS

practically wipes the rb3011 !!! (except fast-path and big packet tests)

I am really starting to regret this purchase.

gigE performance has been, meh.. dismal at best.

No HW supported openvpn yet.

Re: Caps-Man Local Forwarding or Not?

So what i gather is enabling local forwarding is a simple as adding ether1 to the bridge on my wap.

Is there a solid way to test this?

Re: Secure my DNS requests

I just setup pi-hole in a vm.

Pi-hole connects to DNS via TLS.

DHCP hands out PiHole as dns server
DHCP hands out router as secondary dns server to handle local dns request based on static entries applied via dhcp handouts.

Re: Ethernet ports on that don't have anything plugged in to them

I too have seen this. It appears that the lights on the front of my rb3011 mirror each other on each switch. Items plugged into port 7 seem to blink port 2, port 8 blink both port 8 and 3.

Strange behavior.

Feature Request: 802.1X over ethernet

This would be a great feature to have. Please implement as this is a part of the standard linux kernel these days.

Thank you.

I am looking into doing something similar with the rb3011. I know @planetcoop at some ideas on dslreports and wonder if he made any progress.
